Good thread. Thanks to all who posted. The two sides of this opinion are never going to agree, and unfortunately it almost always ends the same way.
Those who don't value discretion will always push things as far as they can. As is seen here, some look like they intentionally put stuff in the open that a reasonably prudent man would not. And if you have 5 hard core open posts out of 50, it still makes the site indiscreet. And indiscrete sites cause problems that should be easily avoided.
This week I'm in a city thar6seems to have an AMP on every block. No way will LE run a sting on all of them, just like they won't have a speed trap at every intersection. Unless they suspect something far more serious than typical AMP activities, they decide which ones to bust--or which streets to set up a speed trap on--based upon citizen ire. So it is not so much LE knowing what happens in a Spa, it is the noise made by John the Thumper and Sally the Buisybody. The more a simple Google search enlightens John and Sally about the sordid details that happen in that strip mall down the street, the more the likelihood THAT place will be on the 6 PM investigative report, the more likely THAT place gets letter to the city council, and the more likely THAT place gets a LE visit.
As an aside: posters who take the stance of "I'm more important because I pay for a month instead of reviewing a place" do annoy me. This would be a rather uninteresting place if everyone acted that way.
