Look at the top of every page on this site. It says the following:

"You asked and we delivered! AMP Reviews now provides the option to upgrade to VIP access via paid subscription as an alternative to writing your own reviews. VIP Access allows you to read all the hidden content within member-submitted reviews AND gives access to private VIP-only forums in each city. Now who do you think AMP Reviews appreciates more? The actual reviewer who pays at least hundreds if not thousands of dollars at spas and to providers and pays zero to AMP Reviews, or the monger who pays a modest fee as "an alternative to writing your own reviews." I wrote scores and scores of reviews on SH over a dozen years and was ranked highly. I paid my dues to the hobby and advised dozens of mongers on the message boards and in private messages. So now I am using an option offered by AMP Reviews. You should pressure AMP Reviews to drop this option, a key revenue stream, as a way to eliminate the lurkers.

Carry on.

Good thread. Thanks to all who posted. The two sides of this opinion are never going to agree, and unfortunately it almost always ends the same way.

Those who don't value discretion will always push things as far as they can. As is seen here, some look like they intentionally put stuff in the open that a reasonably prudent man would not. And if you have 5 hard core open posts out of 50, it still makes the site indiscreet. And indiscrete sites cause problems that should be easily avoided.

This week I'm in a city thar6seems to have an AMP on every block. No way will LE run a sting on all of them, just like they won't have a speed trap at every intersection. Unless they suspect something far more serious than typical AMP activities, they decide which ones to bust--or which streets to set up a speed trap on--based upon citizen ire. So it is not so much LE knowing what happens in a Spa, it is the noise made by John the Thumper and Sally the Buisybody. The more a simple Google search enlightens John and Sally about the sordid details that happen in that strip mall down the street, the more the likelihood THAT place will be on the 6 PM investigative report, the more likely THAT place gets letter to the city council, and the more likely THAT place gets a LE visit.

As an aside: posters who take the stance of "I'm more important because I pay for a month instead of reviewing a place" do annoy me. This would be a rather uninteresting place if everyone acted that way.

They just made it easy to be a lurker, Previous SH reviews are worthless here. So if you want to lurk and don't rwant to review, don't complain about reviews either way.
First of all, who are you to tell anyone else what to do here? I will offer my opinion anytime I want to. Secondly, I wasn't complaining about reviews. I was simply pointing out the futility of trying to post a review with any details, as if that will fool LE.

And what annoys me are guys who feel they can tell others what to do on what is essentially a public forum. I found this site a month ago and decided to check it out for a while before I commit and start posting reviews. It has its pros and cons, and its good to see some old SH buddies. I haven't posted a review in a month. But I see you have posted a whopping 3 reviews in six months. Isn't that borderline lurking?

You keep whining about the same thing. You guys are the minority. How do ik? :unsure:Because the majority got you upset by the reviews they drop :ROFLMAO:

Also bitching is something someone constantly keeps repeating. Like you do with details being too much.
Said the guy who can't even read the Private Details anyway. (Review Balance: 0 days)

Where did tell you what to do--other than stop being so self important?

I never said you or anyone else should have to post. Never said paying for private access makes you inferior. No, all I said was paying doesn't make you superior, as you seem to imply. Personally I think both are important to a viable site.

But you are correct, I should not have told you to stop acting so self important. If you want to shout that the site appriciated you more, that's your right.

I said that hours ago :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
See below. Regardless if I see it or not doesn't change the fact reviews are why they are able to charge and some people pay for subscriptions. Also idk if you have a subscription if it shows balance. That was my point. I don't even see the reviews but I know others want the details. Hence they right reviews and apparently from all the noise detailed many times. Guess what people say when it isn't detailed. Review sucks, more details etc. Let the mods do what they want. If they want it less detailed they would say the same.

This is silly imo. More detail is needed and this site isn't going to be selling any subscriptions with those details. Ik you are from SH but that shit is dead and speaking in codes or leaving things out Isnt a great solution imo. Also being inundated with pms is not something everyone is going to enjoy.

Let peplle post how they post. If you or many don't like it. Stop reviewing go to another forum or create your own. I don't even see reviews but I understand what this site is for. As do the majority.

Only thing , not the minority. I could if I wanted to, write a true review that would make you wonder if you go to the same spa.

And you could quit repeating the same bullshit over and over too. This is a TWO WAY street, lol.
Obviously you are the minority if you weren't you wouldnt as well as the others harp on this issue and be in solidarity on changing the way reviews are written.

I dont initiate the conversation you and others do by constantly making the same threads about how reviews should have less details. I have never seen a thread started that's reads that reviews should be more detailed. That is because things aren't the way you and a few vocal few want them.

Most of the reviews are already not that detailed. Some are over the top though. When members write reviews then maybe their opinion counts. Speculation is usually at least 50% inaccurate.

Lol so most of the reviews are ok not too detailed yet all of you jump on a thread saying it's time for a change??!!

Lmaoooooo that's hilarious and even better if I'm wrong. So not too many details now huh? When you were able to see reviews by quoting they were some very detailed. Most I read. Things have changed and you and others still complaining makes little sense.

I find it funny the dudes that say shut up over the internet. Carry on though. I've yet to meet anyone that made me ever shut up in real life.

Cool story. Now ima tell you this. You and others keep on with the same posts asking for reviews to be less detailed. The owners of the site and mods obviously for now don't think it's too detailed. Yet the few of you keep on about how it should be the way SH was and how everyone is crazy having the details too graphic etc.

You've pleaded your case numerous times. These threads are beyond redundant.
