Kraft wants to take it to the jury.....

"Attorneys for New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft on Tuesday filed court papers requesting a jury trial"
https://whtc.com/news/articles/2019...ants-jury-trial-in-florida-prostitution-case/

……..sounds like he's very confident.
I'll get the popcorn!!
The judge made a decision to approve the taping at the spas. At trial the lawyers will attempt to poke holes in how he was wrongly told about trafficking and how they obtained info on the customer's in many illegal traffic stops etc.

Just cause the judge approved the warrant and surveillance doesn't mean he did it illegally and at minimum erroneously approved it. You are aware of this.

I'm glad Kraft is fighting it. And you are correct Kraft apologized to his friends and family in regards to putting them through this. However never said he did anything wrong. On the contrary his lawyers are saying this is a faulty case and want to challenge it in court.

What he did wrong was employ one of the evillest NFL coach in recent history, but he has nothing to publicly apologize with regards to this matter. He shared an intimate moment with another consenting adult which he may, or may not have, compensated her for. If he compensated her for it, he broke a disorderly conduct law, a relatively low-grade offense. There have always been crazy, and unfair and immoral, laws in this country. Native Americans cannot speak their native language, blacks have to ride at the back of the bus, Chinese men cannot carry two buckets of water suspended by a pole and liquor stores cannot open on Sundays. The only people Robert Kraft has any explaining to do is with his family and love ones.

I will say again that every cop who took part in this, local to state to federal, and every prosecutor who is running with this should smoke a turd in hell. There are things you should not do. The law has to restrict the enforcers of the law as well as the citizens. They got a judge to sign off on this. The idiots in Houston got a judge to sign a no knock warrant when they did not investigation and wound up killing two homeowners. These are the questions we should be asking.
And every bullshit artist anti-prostitution activist on this site, and you know who you are, should take a look at yourself. If they can do this to them, they can do it to you.

At a DWI stop, how many innocent, non drunks, pass through to get to the drunks who are on the road? Should we not have those stops cause we are worried that innocent people will be stopped in the process?

The judge thought about all ascpects and they outweighted the fact that people getting a regular massage would be video taped?

If drugs are being sold in a back room at a strip club. Should the judge not approve surveillance because the girls might be nude on video? Or if the place is giving xtras in the lap dance area, should we not allow canera’s, which places do have already, in the lap dance area because there will be guys just getting a lap dance?
None of those situations involves innocent people being viewed and videotaped while naked.

I bet you were one of the guys who complained when TSA put in those scanners that showed the outline of a persons private parts when they got scanned.

Oh no don’t scan me cause it might show the outline of my dick. Not because someone might be carrying something illegal on a plane.

Do some research on previous owner Li Cindy Yang of orchid spa . She is a huge republican supporter and was pictured at a Superbowl party with Trump at his Florida club. Maybe a coincidence but I think where there is smoke there is fire.

I somehow expected that RK would fight back. This was a consensual act between 2 adults and the rest of the world has nothing to do with it.
Is then buying a dress for your wife/gf and taking her out for dinner (~ $200) to have some intimate moments also paying for sex? lol, what sort of primitive laws exist here!
What about the innocent ladies who were watched in the surveillance room... their privacy videos might at some point land on the Internet

If you got a blow job from a street walker or an escort, that’s between two consenting adults but does that make it any less illegal?? No. It’s still illegal.

if I am Krafts attny I would make several arguments:1)demand copies of every videotape taken during the 7 weeks(it is my understanding that many "normal"massages were given and upcry from those people if outed will create great pressure on prosecutors;2)if purpose was to stop trafficking you would only need 2-3 days of surveillance- if true purpose was to protect the women involved any entry into evidence any tapes after confirmation of the activity should be precluded(not sure when Kraft went) 3)application for the warrant has to be specific and if any errors on application are found any "fruit of the poisonous tree" will be tossed.Attorneys are allowed to make alternative arguments in defense of their client.Prediction Kraft will plead to a much lesser charge pay hefty fine and make major contribution to anti trafficking organization

It just surprised me that he wants to be tried by a jury. I’ve always seen that you have a better chance with a judge. He knows the law a hell of a lot better than your peers.

Even if all that happens damage has been done.

He then still has to wait for the NFL to rule on his case.

I agree. But that depends heavily on who you draw. A more liberal judge and he will be more lenient and may throw out more evidence.

You get some right wing prick who wants to make an example out of him then it’s worse.
