We won't solve the issue here, obviously, but boards like this are one place to start. Two parts in the Constitution that tell me State laws that criminalize consenting adults are:
Contract Clause: The clause prohibits a State from passing any law that “impairs the obligation of contracts."
4th Amendment: The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated.

It also comes down as to why I am on sites like these. Without $$$, I ain't getting no action. Period.

You earn that in a country that provides security from today's marauding Huns, keeps SLOC open, provides/maintains highways, funds high risk/high leverage technology so companies can reap the benefits, etc., etc., but essentially you do not want to pay for those. At least not via those taxes--you would rather fund them in a way more advantageous to you. Or via magic.

2) Nothing wrong with govt providing highways. And I think funding some tech is not so terrible.
3) What eats the fed tax dollars? Social programs and huge military budget. I would prefer to eliminate the first and decrease the 2nd. Also want to cut fed staff. Starting with IRS.
4) What eats State and Local tax dollars? Govt workforce with their salaries, pensions and benefits. Especially public school teachers and their unions. I would love to see huge cuts their as well.
Universal Sales tax would be OK with me.
Go with 10% and let the fed/states/local divvy it up.
Maybe a very low flat tax. Less than 5%.
So people keep 85% of what they earn. Like Hong Kong.
That would be reasonable to me.

You keep, on and on. I really don't see anyone defending you. Things aren't perfect but this is the best country you could live in.
You have to pay taxes to let this country to be the best, whether you agree with everything or not. I had my own business and still do, I pay both the ememployer and employee tax for FICA which amounts to 15% with no deductions. Plus IR'S in top, quit you miniscule tax complaints. You have no idea about reality.
