In this ugly world there's the prototypical coach/teacher/priest who abuses a pre-pubescent kid, then physically threatens him or convinces him no one will love him or believe him if he tells. You know, the kind of guy who causes a boy or girl a lifetime of doubt, shame and confusion.
Then there's the guy who wanted sex with an adult but was coaxed into the idea of sex with an eager and vivacious teenage non-virgin, who was already part of a sad lifestyle due to her own father.

I think I am pretty rational, and I dont see too much difference between a 10 year old and a 14 year old. Why dont you ask some of your friends and family what they think of your opinion? Sometimes I think too many guys say stuff on here, that has absolutely no alignment with their real life and the world.

The original message he sent to the poster on Skip-The-Game was for an adult not for a 14 year old. So I have to wonder why the cops would change the ad after first contact and make her a minor. Hooking up on-line with a grown freaky woman is a good thing. Hooking up with a grown woman on-line for financial compensation in most states is a misdemeanor. Attempting to hook up with a minor, boy or girl, is indefensible, and a serious crime. It is a very sexy crime to prosecute. Why did the cops change the profile after initial contact? Also, much of what you read in a newspaper is BS. So again ask, why did the cops change the age after first contact?

That was my thought as well. Did the cops changed the age on the ad or did the cops "verbally" changed the age, both, after initial contact? I can see if the grandfather to be was tricked into visiting a minor if the cops changed the age on ad after initial contact. If the cops "verbally" changed the age, then grandfather to be should have decline the visit.
Good question. I think this case is being watched closely by prosecutors and police. The use of a "sneak and peak" warrant to go inside an AMP is a bad thing for the country in my opinion. If this case has an outcome that appears favorable to prosecutors, we might see such warrants used on AMPs elsewhere.
By the way, I have seen adult personals stating a woman is in her late 20s, looking for a fun night out. No financial mention, more of a one night fling wording. I wrote to "her" inquiring, realizing it was at least 50/50 she would want compensation. I had no problem with that.
When "she" wrote back it was then supposedly a guy offering to sell the use of his 13 y/o daughter. I immediately sent the e-mail and link to the police in that town, expressing my disgust. Never heard any reply and never saw any news follow-up, so my guess (nothing more than a guess) is it was a sting that indeed started off as an adult woman, and only after the hook was partially set, did the age change. I can very easily believe that happened in the other case as well.
PS: This was not the first such thing I have come across, though in the other one a few years back when I wrote to the police--different city--I did get a reply saying essentially "Thanks for being a concerned citizen. We are aware of this guy." To their credit they seemed to have no interest in why I was writing to an "adult woman" for a one night stand. If more police departments had that attitude I suspect they would get a lot more cooperation going after the pedophiles and other sick folks using and preying on underaged kids.
