I love ppl like you who leave NJ due to hatred but then can't stop posting about it. And sure you're right, NC doesn't have any shootings- its a GD nirvana. Oh wait- a 5 year old girl just got gunned down- https://www.actionnewsjax.com/news/...tary-manslaughter/BZ5JG5ZUCVEFBGUJRTXM6ELYN4/
If NJ got more than 47 cents back on every dollar it sends to DC it would have $ to repair roads but unfortunately gets its blood sucked from it leech states like Ky that gets $2.37 back for every $ those hillbillies cough up- that's gonna change.
I know several ppl who moved out but then returned or are complaining about the hicksville they moved to. So if you're honest that you're so happy to be out, stop obsessing about it.
I lived in NJ. Left 40 years ago. Never looked back. Would never live there again. It was bad then and is not any better now and probably worse. As corrupt as a state can be.
It is right on the top of the states I would never live in. CA is a close second.

New Jersey reminds me of old Mayor Frank Hague of Jersey City.

Dirt poor, never had any job except as Mayor at $8,000 a year.

Died with $10 Million in the bank.

Nah, nothing there.:D

Comes down to NJ' s Booker and Menendez suck at there jobs. They need to get more Federal dollars spent here that is a big part of the job. They would need to be better but are protected in NJ by having a D next to their names.

New Jersey is no worse than Hawaii Alaska or Kansas or anywhere on earth. People are people. Good and not so good people
I agree about the people thing, but New Jersey's system of 21 counties, 567 towns, 560 separate school districts, and unaccountable authorities out the ass make it a breeding ground for corruption that exceeds most states.

New Jersey has a government set up like few other states. Only two officials on the statewide ballot, the Gov and Lt Gov. Hundreds of commissions that receive state money with little oversight. There are probably over 400 police departments in NJ. There are few states set up like this. This type of set up has always been a breeding ground for waste, mismanagement, and corruption.

NJ voted (no surprise) most hated state in recent poll. Followed closely by Texas(?) and California (of course)
Most of the people who vote in these things have never actually been to the state they hate the most.

Texas is No. 2. I've never been to Texas, but I'd never vote to hate it until I spent time there and decided for myself.

Why do you say most have never spent time in the state?
I wouldn't doubt there are a lot of former NJites.
I am one and would definitely vote hate.
And all you need to do is to pass through the state to develop a hate for it.
Even just a stop at Newark for a connection would work.
Worst state I have lived in by far, others not even close

I've been to Houston 3 times.
I liked it.
Galveston was a nice city too.
You just need a pool and constant AC.

I would consider your view as a good one for the poll. You've been there. I have relatives in Texas and they seem happy there as far as I know. Although my issues with New Jersey are well-documented in this thread, polls about state-hating accomplish zero.

I'll say this about New Jersey: my last ten years of hobbying there were fabulous.

You had provider locations like Atlantic City, Cherry Hill, Edison, Secaucus, New Brunswck -- all places I saw great providers. Plus the offerings in Philadelphia and NYC were mostly accessible. But the reality was, the ladies in NJ were mostly all superb.
