So we're entering a 2nd depression...over a virus that has affected less than 10K people here in the US and only kills very old and sick people...wonderful.
Exactly massive overreaction. Wake me up when we're stepping over dead bodies. Never knew people were so anxious and thin skinned. Jesus, and I'm the biggest vm hypochondriac going and this virus only raises mild concern.

Misinformation...we are only in the beginning..stages..we are six weeks behind in testing..we will experience what Italy is going thru now..but 10 times worse..and yes we are headed to a possible depression Because the last 3 market crashes were man made...this is an pandemic that las slow down major countries to a crawl...do the math...Apple alone closed every store in the world outside of China..

I know we are headed to a depression. That's what I said.
But it's because of the current reaction, not the actual virus.
China has pretty much stagnated at 80K, in a country of 1.3 billion.

Stock market crashed this morning....shutdown, circuit breaker tripped after 4 minutes of trading. Its back up now and leveling out.
If the public isn’t confident in buying bullshit they don’t need they will hoard their resources. Our economy depends on it
Fed cut rate down to zero does nothing it’s consumer confidence that’s depleted

fatality rate overall is about 2.1%. And almost all dying are over 70 years old. When you get corona you get sick for about 2 weeks. Overreaction.
Fatality is rated at 3.4% per the WHO. Each country will have their own rate, based on a lot of factors. You catch it you get sick and most cases are mild. That's not the main reason for overreaction. The reason is we're looking at more people catching it than China did. Everything scales up with a higher infection rate. It spreads faster. It makes more people sick. It kills more people. And the worst part is we're going to keep having to do all this isolation until it's under control. And right now, no one knows how long that's going to take.

Strange days indeed. So we don't have a full on shutdown but we have something close to it. What does this mean on a practical level for spas and customers? I mean I get it, many spas are closed, but I see that some have been open despite the situation.

Hello All,

I have just received word there are rumors in the military ranks that an interstate travel limitation will be enacted soon.

Please plan accordingly and continue your standard quarantine preparation. This is clearly a measure to slow the spread and allow healthcare systems time to catch up.

Better to be safe than sorry. Stock up on essentials, medicine to avoid complications. Delay or reschedule any non urgent meetings or appointments until late April if possible.
What does that mean, interstate travel limitation, no driving on the interstate or no crossing state lines

Thats almost 8% in Italy. Korea fared well cause they tested early and often. Testing thousands a day. Over 10k per day. Not trying to manage the virus blindly. Like U. S. has done.

Not going to happen, shutting down the leisure activities and non-essential services people dont need access to is the way to police the US.

The geographic make up of this country makes it an immpossibility to "lock it down". You may find hot zone lock downs imposed but trust me, no one is being held at gun point in the New Rochelle containment zone to keep them from buying their vegan sustainable animal friendly pandemic essentials at Whole Foods.

We take care of our own here, let Cuomo lock down the sheep that eat from his and Deblasios hand, we will be better off for it....but that also shuts down the economic engine of this great Nation even further, bad bad move.

I think people are forgetting that a country like Italy has a large older population , so the fatality rate will be higher.
In this country they need to worry about the people in the bible belt, stroke belt, all those places in the south...if it goes there they will get what the duck got
