Let’s hope for decriminalization, not legality.
So this is the way, these are different things, and mean different things, and the result is different.
Imagine "paying for sex" and "selling sex" is legalized. You get taxes and fees and then you have to also have added costs for subsidizing poor people to also have access, usually utilities call these "universal connection fees". You also now have the girls will be legal, so you have OSHA and you have EPA, and then all the other things that go into it, there might be some health screening slash certification scheme that you end up also paying for. So costs would go up. And then there's the other thing, that if it's legal, demand now goes up, maybe even doubling or tripling, so now "our thing" becomes everyone's thing.
Decriminalized, you get "keep doing what you're doing, and we'll keep leaving you alone, have a nice day."
If either, could we see expanded menus? Better or more diverse girls? Safer, disease-wise?
In the future, I see that, like other said, the young people just don't build the monogamous relationships we used to, so they aren't getting married or having fulfilling relationships, or are asexual. In the future, I can see these people finding AMPs, and then getting vocal slash political and demand their equal rights and then not too far in the future from there, some kind of decriminalization scheme. Is how pot went from "war on drugs" status to dispensaries and "adult use" becoming almost universal, in just a decade.
