I am back mandatory 4 days a week. I commute from NJ to NYC and the buses and Path is at full capacity when i get on. Today was better but I suspect people taking vacation before schools starts at the end of August.
The one phenomenon that I have notice is the office is almost empty by 4 pm, what happened last to 9-5? And at 7:30 am when i get in it’s empty too, there’s a handful of first and second year analyst usually in so I hang and have coffee with them. There’s one girl that I think has kind of taken a liking to me, not the prettiest but awesome body, every time she stops by all I can think is don’t shit where you eat, this job affords me the wife, cars, house, vacations and enough for the hobby don’t f that up. I can see the Bill Clinton temptation with impressionable your girls.
From what i hear in our none hq offices, ie nj, li, ct … people are literally badging in for breakfast and leaving. I think this won’t last if a recession is coming. I’ve already seen the fall layoff list here. Good for you if you work in an industry that allows remote work, stick with it. I saw an article Amazon forcing ppl back.
The amp girls can’t work from home either
