I'd be okay with "Free College" if you got legitimately admitted (due to good grades & test scores), maintained good grades and majored in something useful (science, engineering, medicine, etc.). However, if you just let anyone in and subsidize a 4+ year party, then forget it. Total waste of $$. And a lot of those kids would be indoctrinated as SJWs, which would make it even more of a waste and ruin them for life. And not everyone has to go to college or is smart enough to go. Lots of people could do far better by learning a trade.

We pretty much do have universal healthcare in this country. The really poor are on Medicaid, the old are on Medicare and most people have insurance. Actually the ones who are taking it in-the-ass are lower middle class or working poor who can't afford good insurance or don't have jobs that offer it. Even illegals go the ER and get treated for free (unlike actual citizens, who have to pay). The people who really get fuked over are those who have to pay $500+ for 20 pills of drug XXX because no insurance.

I would not quite say Germany or Japan won in WWII. They lost far too many people. We are still living with the echos of WWI and WWII. It may yet take down Western Europe as they seem to have lost their will to defend their countries. Japan will probably be okay if their can break their porn addiction and start fucking enough to have more kids.

As for free collage, you are right if we pay for a bunch of brats who what to party. However, we need to have a well-educated population if we are going to compete in the world and I think it starts much earlier in than college. Germany was always going to dominate Europe, it was inevitable. Their big mistake was that they tried to do it militarily vs. economically. But Europe was a very different place 100 years ago and militarism was thought of as the key to power, with economics being a very distant second. It's really too bad because I think history will find that WWI really killed Western Civilization. It's just that the patient took a while to succumb. [And in many ways, WWII was a continuation of WWI because Germany refused to accept that it had lost the first war]

To Koondogs point, we are not going to deny someone treatment because they cannot pay or prove their legal status. That would be immoral.

What else is immoral is rounding up all of the local street walkers and parading them in front of the media and putting their pictures all over TV and the internet. They should be going through drug program and not the Criminal Justice system. Raiding a massage parlor and prosecuting thing women when there is no benefit to society. Using a law meant to combat terrorism to secretly install cameras in a spa to catch guys getting happy ending and up charging the women. Most importantly all of the fuck wads who claim this is human trafficking and sex slavery when they know this is not true. That is immoral.

Then when you got medicaid to pay they paid $200 on a $2500 claim. Yes some immigrants didn't pay either. How many didn't not sure. However I do know most of the people I had to bill were Caucasian and Black.

As an old-school millennial Republican (Eisenhower/Reagan/Bush Sr.) this would not be a problem if we didn't have Medicaid or Medicare in the first place. Doctors should have the discretion of saving lives. If an illegal is brought in with life threatening condition, I am certain doctors will not let that patient die. The problem is we force hospitals to take in everyone even if someone walks in with something that can be treated by a general practitioner or have the hospitals liable for lawsuits. We are rationing resources this way, and people know this and abuse the system.

At the end of the day the more local the government the better since we can for ourselves determine if we are getting a good deal for what we contribute and expect from it.
