I couldn't find a "Bored Monkey" nor could I locate a "tayeka"

So....I'm sure I missed some. Who did I miss?

By the way, this goes without saying....but please remember that you may only use one username. For those who I'm reinstating, you'll need to abandon any other usernames you created as a work-around. I'll eventually get around to deactivating those, but it aint gonna be overnight......

To that very large list of requested reinstatements, welcome back. I hope you find a more welcoming environment this time around where intel can be shared without fear of repercussions.

You can forget that limit. We are still actively searching for deleted posts to restore and deleted members to bring back. And now we are in an era where the word delete isn’t even in our vocabulary….

Question: I’ve seen many references from members who magically found they were restored without being on any list. I’ll explain that. That’s because I extracted every username on this site that had been banned for any reason. I separated all of the handles that had been banned at registration through spam detection and then I took the remaining list. This list consisted of usernames that were banned manually by a member of this staff.

I filtered this list (in the thousands) by # of posts and # of reviews.

For decades I’ve held the philosophy that you can tell a member’s intentions within their first 25 posts. If someone is here to make trouble, they’re not gonna wait and pretend to be normal for 25 posts before they start wreaking havoc on the community. That still holds true today, although members can go “sour” on a board after a long period of being a great contributing member, and when that happens, 99% of the time it’s due to shitty management of the board.

So with that core philosophy in mind, I blanket restored ALL banned handles that had at least 50 posts and at least 2 approved reviews.

That amounted to about 80% of every handle manually banned by a staff member. In my eyes, that remaining minority of 20% were more than likely trouble makers, banned with proper justification. Some of them though were probably good members who didn’t post a lot or didn’t have reviews. We will have to hope we get those through them stumbling on here and asking to be reinstated.

My final question is this…..for any of you that found yourself reinstated, but not by request….what led you to find out your handle was active again? Did any of you receive a notification from the site that drew you back here….like maybe one of your posts got liked or replied to and that generated a notification? I’m curious…..


And also, if any of you have links to any past posts or reviews you think are still deleted, post them or PM them to us so we can restore them

Holy shit. I'm back.

Nice work, TJ. Way to take the reigns and restore order. I have no idea why I was banned, like many others, and never got a response when I reached out.

Happened to visit AMP Reviews this weekend (to see what I could see without having to be logged in) cause I was curious if there were reports of a particular AMP girl being back or not. In a post while browsing, I saw someone mention "The Great Reinstatement" and found this thread.

Went through pages of this thread curious if my handle would be mentioned.... And then saw this post and thought, "Could it be...?"

And yes! I am in fact reinstated!

I had lost hope for this site, but that hope is back. Just in time for more trips I have scheduled!

can you help reinstate account @ciwike . One day I was banned due to violating TOS. All my posts follow guidelines, probably got caught in the bulk ban. I have a few reviews that I haven't been able to post.
