How are we ever going to get this down to ZERO cases in the US? It seems that all it took was a few people coming here from China to do all this damage.

So when this dies down and we think its all under control, a few more people enter the country who have the disease---then we do this all over again?
Maybe implement testing as a part of the normal boarding process for travelers coming in,

It’s funny you say that because in South Korea they are saying the new cases are all from expats bringing it in from other countries including here

One thing I know, a lot of companies will see they no longer need to have an office, working from home I will be the thing

A company like WeWorks will benefit from this immensely

But we are talking about when normalcy returns, you will put a business traveler in quarantine for 14 days?
Until we have a test that can detect during incubation, yup. If they want to do business here, they'll need to take that into consideration. Only exceptions they had been vaccinated, or can prove they've recovered from it.

Yup. Mentioned in another discussion:
On the bad side, a lot of companies may explore Telecommuting on a more permanent basis. Cost to ramp up their IT infrastructure to cover on a more permanent basis, is way way lower than physical real estate.

I also foresee the practice of wearing masks when going out as more socially acceptable. The first person to figure out how to unlock a Smartphone with just eyes is going to make a lot of money.

I'm way ahead in the future here but it seems to me the minute we start allowing flights into the country from all over the world again we're asking for another epidemic.

We're going to quarantine every individual from every flight that comes in?

KD, I have a piece of paper that identifies me as a member of the company's COVID-19 Essential Team and requests that the powers that be allow me access to the area. That's all I know at the moment.

That's why you put them in quarantine for two weeks to see if they develop systems. Same procedure when travel restrictions were instituted.
Does anyone else here remember Ellis Island? It used to be the norm for people coming into this country.
Before anyone throws the newspeak word "xenophobe" at me, remember that I have skin in this game too. It just seems that the way it was done then was pure common sense.

And Angel Island for the Pacific side. Don't need it now, as you can only come after your legal Immigration status has been approved.
