@njlefty I do not respond to the lurkers' questions via pm if they are new and/or do not contribute to anything.
@AutomaticSlim You can click their avatar and click ignore button. They will have to waste their time finding your reviews/comments themselves. Allowing them to follow you makes their asses easier.

This site just really started to catch on in mid June last year. Origionally more of a Texas site but we in PA, NH and NY have taken it by storm.
Now with a year under it's belt we can begin to see who are the trusted members, and who are the lurkers/nubies. This was much easier over at the former SH site because it had a much longer standing.

Straight up and down you shouldn't follow someone before you start posting at least a bit. This place is moderated seldomly which is good. However since this is the case people on here should follow some common sense guidelines. One of them is ask a question here and there but also contribute.
Maybe even TOFTT post a review and then ask questions. When I started enjoying Gfe places about 8+ years ago I didn't know about these forums. I Hobbied almost 4 yrs before I joined. When I joined, I immediately began helping and asking questions but helping. Dropping reviews here and there and answering questions.
I've had several newbies ask me questions pm. Sometimes I answer sometimes I don't. I however understand why many hobbyists here don't answer those newb questions.
