The date I heard for a vaccine may be next spring. Maybe.

Under normal testing procedures. Given this is a crisis, some countries could cut the red tape a bit, as long as the results satisfy testing procedures. Making end of year possible. But it's going to take a long time to make enough, and then vaccinate everyone. The US alone would take months.

There will be a vaccine before the election. I'd bet big money on it. Whether it works, or randomly kills people or causes birth defects is another question. But this government will approve a vaccine.

When the virus first hit, I remember there were mongers here posting the safest place to be was in an AMP.

Maybe they were right? Now it seems one of the most unsafe places to be is in a supermarket, you know...one of the places that we are still allowed to freely visit.

Medications to relieve the symptoms, faster and readily available testing, proper separation from workers and family if you do test positive will all be so much better.

Social distancing, hygiene, public cleaning will all be better from this pandemic forward.

The second wave will not be as bad as the first wave if the virus stays the same because we survived the first wave and it is now embedded and fresh in our brains.

It is possible with age that the virus could morph into a less dangerous virus. If the virus morphs into a more dangerous virus, we are absolutely locking our doors and batting down the hatches.

When you go to a spa, carry two test kits, one for her and one for you. you test each other while you are washing hands and rinsing mouth. Both test come up negative. You two can act like two teenagers who just tested negative on a pregnancy test!

There will also be that antibody immunity test out alongside the vax. That will be an interesting decision. Trust the immunity test or trust the premature vax.

We entered human trials already with some early developed vaccines. Approval can happen within that eight months. As long as it's not done for political reasons as srhsrh mentioned.

I know what you mean. Drove to Chicago a couple times in the past, wasn't too impressed with anything west of Pittsburgh.
