I am not into the standard R&T AMP thing. I like either a really good TM or I don't care about the TM and want all the other options.

My long time go-to for TM has been Heavenly in East Norriton. Currently Cindy is the my therapist and she is amazing, I go weekly. I recently found Tao in Glenside and had Yuco. That was one of the best TM sessions I've ever had. Her back walking was simply amazing.

Question is: Who's your favorite back walker? Extra services accepted but not necessary.

I've been having trouble in the last couple years finding any that know what they're doing. Back walking can be dangerous. I had a provider in Southampton that didn't know what she was doing and she ended up dislocating two of my ribs.

If Linda is still working at Ardmore reflexology, she does mostly a back walk massage. Can anyone confirm if she is still there?
That would be sweet. Ardmore is close to work as well. I ended up trying a place in Lansdowne based on some reviews. Not a BAD massage but not what I'd send someone to as top notch TM. Plus the place was kind of a dump.

I'll see if someone confirms Linda.

Who did you see in Lansdowne?

Best back walker I ever had was Holly. I think she is at Massage Zen in Chadds Ford. It’s too far for me now but she has educated feet. Just the right amount of pressure and systematic approach. Didn’t miss any part. Her massage is awesome too.

Back walking kind of freaks me out. Especially when they kind are just winging it. I am always waiting for something to go snap.
Yes, you should always be very cautious about allowing it. Look at the ceiling above the massage table for grab bars. If non are there, no back walk will be attempted. If they are there, tell the provider you dont want any back walk.

Don't know if you consider Delaware as the Philly burbs, but we have two KMPs here that are R&Ts but still have skilled back-walking practitioners: Rainbow 7 Spa in Newark (Angie, Lisa, Ruby) and Royal Spa in Bear (Gina, Bonnie). They don't offer it every time, so it's best to ask for "walk the back".
They also offer table showers and do professional-grade massage. HEs are available but I don't imagine they would force you; they just like getting bigger tips.
Never had a problem with injury at either one of these, although last Summer I did get a cracked rib at a Chinese AMP in Madison, Wisconsin. The table wasn't well enough padded.
I visited Rainbow 7 today, and feel great!

Fuck man. Ouch! Have always been afraid of that scenario. Backwalking is a no fly zone for me...
