Here's my POV. I notice some people talk about being in great shape and not needing any assistance. Or how they won't need it.
Good luck with that. I'm 59. When I was 45 I blew a disc in my back. My game has never been the same - but I'm in amazing shape. I had some back problems for about 5 years, got some treatment, lost weight, now I've got a BMI of 24.9 and keeping it there, low body fat, etc. I work out 4-7 times a week, eat right (mostly, still love my ice cream) and I have had ED for the last 9 years. Tried Viagra with a doctor's trial pack, and it worked, but I hate taking any kinds of drugs - plus Viagra is linked to heart issues and some of the ones it's linked to run in my family (though I don't have them - yet, and hopefully never).
In addition, testosterone declines with age. Good friend of mine was well known for his endurance and power in the sack. He's 6 years younger than me and in better shape than I am. I tend to think he overdoes the party drugs (which I don't do at all), but he also has low T - really low T. He uses some kind of underarm thing to keep the T levels up. Even with that, he uses Viagra, which I think he's nuts to do, especially when he's indulging in the party scene.
I've not been diagnosed with low T, but I've taken stuff to raise my T levels, and that's helped a little. Not a lot. So I've come to the conclusion that the issue is the nerve damage due to my back issues.
It sucks, and it's embarassing in the wrong situations, but in the right situations I don't need much help. I can get hard, I just can't hold it for long.
When I was younger, I'd be (as Andrew Dice Clay used to say) "Hard as a diamond" - and I thought "damn, I'll never have issues". Wishful thinking.
I envy the younger guys, and even the older guys who don't have issues. But I definitely would like something to give me that little extra boost. Just don't want to use Viagra or Cialis. I have an aversion to prescription stuff.
