Guess the pigs aren't getting their cut?

It's funny how pols will whine about exploitation and violence in one of the few industries that isn't taxable. Can't imagine why. Anyways, I'll continue reading this on a phone hammered together by a child, order some takeout from an assuredly well compensated delivery driver with adequate healthcare, then maybe drive for some mongering later in a car full of Shell gas from Ogoniland's blood drenched soil, pop a few oxy's from the good folks at Sackler's afghanistan warlord provided opiates, then think of how bad a person I am for my part in trafficking and abuse.

I'm not sure why you feel the police or any of your other complaints has anything to do with this article. I posted it to give a heads up to hobbyists who might be intetested in checking out the area so they go in with the knowledge that the area is under the microscope. I can't blame the residents if they don't want that out in the open. No one wants to walk home to that because of the graft that follows.

Just offering some thoughts on labor since that was what I took away from the article.

Holy shit. I just walked through Corona coming back from an afternoon romp with a ficha ballerina bar girl I’ve banged a few times and just passed an absolute stunning solid 9.5 on 95th st just south of Roosevelt. Solid 5’6” thin platinum blonde young Chinese girl with giant D’s. I usually don’t bother giving the talent in that hood a second glance but she literally stopped me in my tracks. Said her name was cici, I have no idea why she’s working on the Roosie strip and not with an agency. If I’d had any endurance left in me I would have slummed in her dirty ole fast house…. Damn middle aged reload time.

I look into this seems mayor building up a plan. I don’t think going act just yet but believe it be soon.

Everything has a root cause, I wonder what the boom in migrants has its roots in? Or the boom in prostitution? Or the boom in Mayors pleading their cases over twitter or their pals in press rooms? Is weird right? Millions of people with nothing to their names coming to a country in the midst of the greatest inflation in 40 years, migrants who owe money to criminal enterprises for their transport, who may or may not speak the language, who may or may not even have shelter or food or education or marketable skills, and these millions are not turning to the medical field or engineering, but instead to walking the streets? Completely unexpected.

Gotta facilitate getting these folks into the workforce. The initial cost to Temporarily accommodate & eventually integrate them into society will eventually be the investment that drives my children’s ability to enjoy a possible retirement. Wealthy countries don’t reproduce anymore, eventually that’s an unsustainable ponzi scheme when you have more retirees than workforce.

For decades, the labor force participation rate of foreign-born workers has remained higher than that of native-born workers. And as U.S. population growth has slowed, falling to a record low in 2021, immigrant workers are key to meeting both existing hiring needs and to advance future economic growth.

The root cause is political... but its best not to discuss

Actually the root cause is simple math and basic economics of scarcity. We have a growing global population (the rate of growth has slowed but it’s still growing) and finite resources.

The incentive for mass migration is political. There’s a subtle difference.

Exactly. We shouldn’t open a floodgates but we need a more robust worker visa program. I manage a team full of lazy Americans and know I can get an H1b who will have twice the output for 25% less pay.
