Your Constitutional Right

Well, there is nothing in the Constitution that prohibits prostitution. In certain counties in Nevada, it is legal. So other places could do the same if there was the political will. But there isn't. And, let's face it: anyone (man, woman or it) who goes around advocating for legalized prostitution is going to look like a perv, a hooker or a pimp. Of course, we advocate for it on here where we are anonymous; but AMPREV is not the real world.

How many of us would have the guts to do it at work or with our family and friends? Certainly, not me.
I tell family and friends I support decriminalization of prostitution, and I tell them I donate to causes that support it.

I tell them that about 500 people get murdered each year in Chicago, and mostly all become unsolved cases.

Yet the Sheriff there arrests hundreds of mongers each year at hotel stings because he thinks he's keeping his city safer. LOL.

The other thing: several years ago I had a good sugar baby set up. I covered the rent for one year for her apartment in Philadelphia.

For that, she provided sexual services to me.

Not legal in the state where I live, but the question is, why?

Well, good for you Sir! You are a braver man than I. But everyone has different circumstances. In my case, if I were to suddenly start spouting off about make prostitution legal, it would look very suspicious and out of character. We have a few SJW wannabees in my workplace and that would no doubt "trigger" them. My wife would look at me with a jaundiced eye and start hiding the liquor. At the end of the day, it would look too weird and I wouldn't convince anyone. High cost, no benefit. Besides, I highly doubt I'll see it legalized in my lifetime.

Correct. Similar to admitting you’re a Trump supporter/voter lol.
Yeah, aside from my family and good friends (and, of course, when I'm anonymous), I keep my politics to myself. In biz these days, its the smart thing to do. Too many people have lost their minds. And a shocking number of them are making important financial decisions for their organizations.

Sometimes I imagine it would be nice if I could go through life without giving a shit what I said or what people thought of it. And, certainly, some people can pull that off. But they tend to either be brilliant, independently wealthy or poor slobs. At the moment, I'm none of those.

Because:

1. The government is incompetent and corrupt

2. The government abuses its power a majority of the time and this abuse increases with increase in bureaucracy

3. The bureaucracy craves power like a drug addict craves heroin and there is no POWER in saying YES or allowing freedom

Government is a necessary evil in post hunter gatherer civilizations but should be kept to a minimum but unfortunately we have a group of elites that have NEVER produced or created anything and get and stay rich on manipulating the masses into allowing them to generate millions of rules and regulations the majority of which are useless and redundant and in many cases have negative unintended consequences. Whats worse is that once these douche bags get voted out the join the lobby class and continue the scam. That is why we have generations of elites that have never worked a real job in their life or produced anything of real value laughing at the deplorables while hanging out with the Epsteins of this world.

Actually there is: Article IV Section I gives States the right to pass their own laws.
I said that in a roundabout way awhile back in this thread. It's no different that any other social issue in a representative republic. Get it on the ballot and the people of each state will vote it up or down.

Criminalizing a private sexual activity between consenting adults clearly violates the 4th amendment. Think outcalls, for instance.

The "what happens between two consensual adults" argument works. Now if we can only get a massage parlor to not be tagged as a criminal enterprise when they include full service as part of the package.

Oh, please. That's very broad authority that does not explicitly prohibit prostitution. The fact that almost all states choose to do it does not mean they are required to do so.

Maybe you can do something more productive, like nitpicking my spelling and grammar?

But they did. That broad authority is what gave Nevada the right to make it legal. You can't argue it both ways.

That has been my central point. We for too long have accepted that an outcall, for instance, is a criminal act when the reality is that the Constitution protects it.

I'm not having it both ways. What I originally said was: Well, there is nothing in the Constitution that prohibits prostitution. And I also mentioned Nevada. Methinks you just like to argue for the sake of arguing.
