Just another generic article pandering to the mainstream narrative. From my experience, such narrative is total nonsense. However, my experiences is obviously limited.
The mainstream narrative is as follows
- Must label the women as trafficked and forced against their will
- Never never label the women as willing sex workers, that's a major major no-no. This, despite the fact that after a bust, the "rescued girls" would start looking for another org to work for the very next day
- To pay off their debt. Perhaps some started with debt, but most girls are clearly in it just for the money. Most girls take time off and go shopping whenever they feel like it.
Let me make a rough calculation to demonstrate what numbers we're looking at. $260/hr and let's say 8 guys a day and work only 250 days out of the year, 260x8x250=520,000. Is it really hard to believe that these girls would willingly do this for half a million dollars of personal revenue? Sure she needs to pay her rent, expenses, and PO booking fees. But I really think their motivation is an easy multi-six figure income.
And some girls come here, work 3 months, and then go back to Korea never to be heard from again. Perhaps those are the ones just wanting to pay off their debt.
One of the myths that gets to me is the "contracts" girls are forced to sign. The thing is, no country in this world would honor such a contract. Once again
no country in this world would honor such a contract. It needs to be repeated because clearly some of you guys can't seem to understand such a simple concept. Putting things in writing is pointless since (A) it's not a contract any government in this world would enforce, and (B) it serves as evidence against criminal organizations. All a girl needs to do is to bring one of these "contracts" to the police, and these gangs will go away for a long time. Basically no written contract means the ability to negotiate (maybe deniability and leniency) with the legal system, and having a written contract means maximum prison term.
And, by the way, if a girl brings such an evidence to law enforcement, they would thank her profusely, give her victim status and all the requisite benefits, and we'll never hear the end of it from the news outlets. People really don't seem to comprehend how valuable this "golden piece of evidence" would be to both LE and the news media. They've been dreaming of something like this so bad for so long. But, instead, what have we seen? Girls looking for another org immediately after their org gets busted. Why do you think that is?
Ever heard of Ganam style? The entire song is about keeping up with the rich lifestyle of the Gangnam district, despite one's personal finances.
