what a waste of a day

So had an appt set up with a provider I really wanted to see, but she's in the city. Figure i can leave work early drive an hour in since traffic and so the deed and be home for dinner.

Mother nature had different plans for me. I parked in my usual spot and was going to go walk down to a plane and grab one of my favorite drinks before my appt. As i walk it immediately starts doenpouring and the wind picks up and I'm walking against it, within 5 mins in soaking wet completely drenched. Went and got my drink and cancelled my appt as i didn't want to come in soaking wet.

Driving home now coming up with an excuse on why im wet.

Really disappointed i missed my chance to see this provider as i won't get a chance soon to hobby.

You should have just went to the appointment and told her what happened. I’m sure she wouldn’t have cared. Maybe she would have dried you off and you could have hung your clothes up to dry for an hour too. Win win situation.

My thoughts exactly. Hell I come in from work, also just after a hard trail run in the rain , or just about any other conditions. People are understanding and generally don't judge.

Could have killed two birds with one stone. Carry a hotel-sized body wash. You could have done the shower while walking to the session and had more time and fun in the room. Geez...this is not rocket science.

Ha didn't even realize the irony with the name. I did think about going in anyway but felt too embarrassed about it and wasnt sure if it was okay to be soaking wet in their place and not sure if they had a dryer or if they would let me use it haha.

I walk everywhere as I live in the city. I’ve been caught in a similar situation. I didn’t give a shit and just showed up at my appointment. We laughed, I had a nice hot shower, and my clothes were pretty much dry by the end of the session. You should have just showed up, they don’t care as long as you don’t look and smell homeless.

I have had the same thing happen more than once, they are very accommodating and if anything will take care of you even better!! I remember at the old place above Westies in the '90s having two girls dry me down and take care of me because they felt sorry for me because I was drenched.

There are some things worth canceling a session.

1) Any type of illness which is contagious,
2) Excessive Flatulence. (I actually had to do this once, but told her I had a virus)

The death of your wife's health care aid's husband.

A last minute unscheduled work meeting.

Traffic is completely stopped, and you will never make it. Flat tire, or break down.

There are things that never stopped me.

Tripped on a curb while crossing the street, rushing to an appointment. Falling and hitting my temple on a sidewalk grate, almost passing out. Getting up all bloody, and running up the steps. I never got so much pampering before, when my girl cleaned the wound and bandaged me up. One of my best sessions ever, lol.

Just running a little late.

My bank machines were down and I arrived 80 dollars short. This is where repeat providers pays off. Worse yet my bank machines were all down until the next day. Not to mention the whole computer system, lol.

Virtually all of the spas have both washer and dryer. They’ll all wash your clothes, and dry them for you. I e done this even when not soaked, but coming from work and not wanting to put dirty socks and underwear back on. Sometimes it turns into a 90 minute ordeal for the same 60 minute house fee (extra tip of course)
