I can agree with how Wayne left here. Had he made a big scene it goes against the sentiment to begin with- he’s there essentially to have fun, hang-out, and earn respect. Has he earned the high mileage airline credit card perks? He has simply not accumulated the points. Many mongers have the magic all too quickly, while with some it takes a bit longer in time. His story speaks of a humble experience where he is working his way in. This step of hanging out and not being so desperate for a session will go a long way in my opinion. If it doesn’t, he has the choice: “Do I keep putting forth additional effort? Because I’ve already came this far… Or, like many other mongers in the thread have urged… Do I simply pick-up and move on at this point?” It’s a tough question that relies on a number of factors. Quality can mean more than quantity. And, thus patience & persistence maybe worthwhile. Just my honest opinion. When you become a close-knit member of a spa, there is no greater feeling.
I don’t understand this close knit member thing and feeling? What’s so good about it? Free service?

What some of you don't realize the quality of the girls, at the spa I was referring to, at that time was the best in Philly. So the mad rush was on, so much for putting reviews in. I can count less than 10 times over the course of 8 years, that I have been bumped. or switched. Sometimes the switch, if you take the replacement, is better than who you came to see. At the mentioned same spa, I thought I had a solid appointment, but when I arrive the woman I was suppose to see asked me to try a provider that I never saw before. This is mostly because the one I wanted to see was and is trying to not perform and only handle the management duties. Well, I was introduced to one of the most lovely girls that has ever worked in Philly, and you all know the beauties that they use to have at Bella's/1041. Her performance will put most of the EPM/CP girls to shame. So if I wanted to be an asshole, make a scene and leave the spa I would have lost out on the opportunity.

All I am trying to say is there are better ways to play a bait and switch or a bumped appointment than just walking out. Because I have had so few of them, each bait and switch or bump that I remember has an interesting story to go along with it. And even if you decide to leave, you can do it in a more positive way. Trust me these managers, Emos and providers all talk to each other and your reputation carries from place to place.

As for the pickings, I think, I have gone to the best city, PA burbs, and South Jersey places. So I always have enough options within less 30 to 45 minutes from my house. I am certainly not going to let one or two exceptions of questionable bumps and service at any one spa spoil all of the good times I have and still have at these places.

So play it as you will, we all have our own way to play.

I think you can read below and see what it can get you. Power is the big key. But secondly when asking about money. I’ll be honest, I never have walked in and got a free session. But I have walked in with an amount of dollars from my pocket (hitting an ATM in Philly, then finding parking near a select spa…we all know is a pain in the ass) close to nothing and mms simply asked well what did you want? Whatever I wanted was granted. What you feel is advantageous for you as an individual totally depends. To each is their own.

Agreed, Wayne has his approach. The list of guys who like cooking for them, hanging out in back, helping set up the security system, fixing the sink, painting the walls, bringing them water… etc, is endless. They have a cadre of guys who will gladly crawl around for them. And it is all within the realm of how to approach this profession we enjoy. Anyone remember JJ? He was an old and lonely guy who built many a massage table and changed lightbulbs in and around NNJ. The places he served tossed him a bone from time to time to keep him inspired.

I went through that phase, and now, if a place I am established with stands me up, knowing i am a good client, since I’m standing, I keep walking. The perk I want is for them to honor my appointment with enthusiasm.

it is a feeling of kinship, friendship, and strong emotions can develop, maybe it holds some privileges? I went down that road and found that it came at a cost I didn’t want to pay. I couldn’t invite these ‘friends‘ over to my house on the 4th, so it was all a bit of a fantasy and a lie, knowing I already had everything they could offer. But it was fun for a while. And I attended their parties, where all the girls get together outside work, and every one of them had an American guy, just like me, who was their guy. That’s when I realized I was not.

Yes and in return they offer a free house fee once and a while, make lunch/dinner in the kitchen for you, allow extended sessions, let the girls take some time off to go out of the shop, and other perks. This can be so much more fun than just wham bam thank you mame. No different than doing nice things for anyone. But occasionally things are not perfect, but can be patched up with some understanding.

Have you ever just not shown up for an appointment, did not call when running late, been a little cheap with the tip, tried to get the girl to do something she did not want to do? The spas put up with a lot of bull shit too, it is not a one way street.

I always show up, never cancel, always tip so I treat them and the girls with respect, how others treat them has nothing to do with me. so if they ever treated me like an asshole, by letting a walk in right before me even if I’m a “valued and long term” customer I walk, rather than let them walk all over me and let them laugh at how much of a doormat I am.but here’s the thing if you like being their friend and hanging out then that’s all that matters. Don’t understand that part that’s all. You do you peace out.

I’m not trying to sell you anything, Wayne, I’ve had all those ‘perks’ and much, much more. it was back when that was what I thought I needed. Now, I’m past that. But I do realize that some people cherish all of that. As for the AMP putting up with BS, that is called ‘owning your own business’. It shouldn’t happen but it does.

in life there are plenty of times where if you don’t walk, your getting walked on., and its time to walk from this thread, it must be dead by now.

I agree. Reality is them squeezing in one extra house fee at your expense gets reversed if you decide to take a break from them for a few weeks.
It’s not always the house wanting to squeeze in an extra house fee, often the provider also wants to get as much as she can and she’s part of the rush jobs, the waiting, the B&S, etc knowing you will put up with it. And, be understanding.

This doesn’t seem that complicated.

Rather than being their doormat and worrying about hurting their feelings for leaving when they disregard the value of your time, and you didn’t bring a 3 course meal to cook for them :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:, use their doormat and politely but decisively get up and leave. And don’t let them pull the masseuse out of her current session to take care of you, you are not really that important and it ruins another persons massage.

As they try to get you to stay, and they will….remind them that they should not worry, you‘re fine, you have another place you can go, and that you will take care of them next time you return, if there is one.
i think this is backwards, the guy who was disrespected is being characterized as burning a bridge? They lit it on fire, not him, and leaving shouldn’t have any impact If they value you. And if it does, it is good that you left them.

Yeah, we should end this thread cause we all have out points. At least the veterans do. I appreciate everyone's viewpoint. We have all waited for that "one" girl. We have all been played. We have all gone back when we said we wouldn't. We all boycotted a place then gone anyway cause we heard so in so was there. Even if she wasn't.
The list goes on and we all have our own way to do things. It's nice to hear the stories but I'm not you and you are not me. party on and be safe!

From my trips to an English tatted white MP (studio 51 pittsburgh), its up an always unlocked sidewalk door, up the staircase, im not sure if there is a kids friendly lawyers office as the other tenant on floor 2, push open the massage door on left side, you come to a double deadbolted waiting room, 1 outdoor glass window, airplane gate metal bench seats with arms rests, with 3 magazines and a camera in the corner. Its the doctors office!!! No buzzer, just a sign says to wait until your next. Anyways, the cordless landline biz phone was ringing multiple times threw the session, her talking ENGLISH about refunds over bait and switch, over "I didnt cum", and girls begging for work slots (babe, get the AR-15, if you want a shift, u gotta take another girl out), and girls arguing about refunds for bad weight weed and bad bags. All while my dick was hard inside the girl, but she arguing while I pound her. I asked her "can't you pay someone to answer the phone?" "we used to but the owner was cheap, and the girls kept smoking weed and not picking up, now each MT has to hold the phone on the clock, today im alone, if I had a 2nd girl, she would be on the phone in between clients". Ampreviews says I fucked the owner/MMS. MWBE

I would call ahead and schedule more instead of just walking in, but half the time either I can't understand the girl who answers the phone or she can't understand me. And it seems like they will always say come on over whether someone is free or not. Maybe others have better luck with the call ahead scheduling?

I had a bad experience just like this at New Chinese Spa in Bloomsburg. Will never go back there again. I later called Lisa there to tell her why. Return denial is best option in my opinion.
See my review in NNJ forum Spa Oasis Julie. Relevant to this discussion.
