In the hopes of a most relaxing, consistent and rewarding massage I always schedule appointments. I prefer the girl knows me and is very comfortable with me and the style massage I prefer. I sometimes get bored, or the service slips some and I move on. I also prefer less popular and busy shops. Until now that worked out as expected. I arrived for my scheduled appointment and as I am getting on the table hear the bell ring and am asked can I wait 15-20 minutes. Just relax, the room is very comfy, the customer is young so it won’t take much time at all. So I ask will it be worth my time? Pretty much 15 minutes and she comes in and starts a very good massage. 10 minutes in the door rings again. Long conversation that sounds like tax filings are being discussed. I check to see if I am asleep and dreaming. Nope. I start thinking of just getting dressed and leaving. She comes back and says so sorry and kisses me a bunch, first time I ever saw her without a mask. Pretty girl. 5 minutes of massage and bell rings again. I tell her I am leaving as it is not relaxing, it is ridiculous. She asks me to please stay. Said she will make it up to me. I was waiting for the classic words next time, but she didn’t say them. Then 5 minutes in the bell rings again so I decide that’s it. She comes back in and says No get back on table! She has me turn over and the next 45 minutes were unbelievable even a little tag team action at the ending. Crazy, good thing I had some patience, but what legit therapist would interrupt a scheduled session to answer the door? I guess no one schedules appointments any more.

They should have told the walk-ins to return later is what they should have done. If this was a touch only place I hope she threw in everything. I would have left if I were you the second she told you (a regular) to wait. It’s nonsense and even if she made it up later, what if you were on a schedule?

Sorry, Ironman, I agree with Wayne, especially if I've alrady established a relationship as a regular. I've learned that, in the end, the experience is much more than satisfying.

I enjoy both the owner and her masseuse. They have done some favors for me so I didn’t mind the 15-20 minute wait and I had the time. What bugged me was all the interruptions. When there is just one person working they really should put a note on the door showing next available time. It’s a place that has an outdoor bell so they can’t just walk in. So after 3-4 times in 20 minutes it ruins the flow. Even once right at the most inappropriate time. So I still wasn’t upset, but I was definitely disappointed. I really didn’t get much massage and that’s essentially why I go. I sort of expected the owner to text me when she found out there were so many interruptions, even if just to joke about it. Anyway I’ll probably not go back for a while.

In that situation, if the person working can’t or won’t put a note on the door, they should ignore the doorbell. No way should they keep interrupting their time with you to grab the front door. Nor would I ever agree to let some walk-in buzzing the doorbell at the start of an appointment I scheduled in advance jump ahead of me …. even if for only 15-20 minutes. when you agree to that once, it sets a precedent. Watch for it to happen again in the future.

I tend to agree. If there's only one or two girls and no one to watch the front then they should either put a note on the door or just lock it and turn off the open sign until they're available. I did that once at my usual place . I came in shortly before they closed, it was just one girl there and she turned everything off. Without the worry of interruption we had a very fun time.

It depends on how you handle leaving, don't leave pissed off and burn the bridge behind you. I had an experience not that long ago when I came to a spa where I know the manager very well to see one of the girls That I was currently seeing. In fact, I had made arrangements to also make dinner for the shop afterwards and brought some Soju too.

I got there for my appointment first at 6 pm and the manager said I would have to wait a little because my provider was busy unexpectedly. Ok, I planned to be there awhile anyway so I made the dinner (Shrimp and Pasta Picata). I was hoping to wait to eat when my provider finished but, WTF, she had an appointment as soon as she was done. I had no ides what was going on but hung in there and had some of the dinner I made with the manager, figuring I would be next. I really never got an " I'm sorry". from the manager except there was nothing she could do because they were so busy. This is where becoming more than a customer fails because they feel you will do them favors and roll with it. It is now 7:45 and the provider comes in the kitchen but leaves again right away, of course after an I'm sorry kiss", from her.

Of course a couple times I was offered to see another girl, but I declined. I know most of you would have left here long ago, but I was not on a schedule. Finally at 8:30 it was my turn. only after I had put my coat on for the first time to leave. Only problem was she had another appointment in a half hour but they would just make him wait. I decided that that was not going to work, so I said let her have some dinner but first I would leave let me talk to the girl. We went to a room and she said don't worry she would take care of me. I explained that I was not mad at her but did not want to be rushed for time and that I would make another appointment with her in a couple days. Kissed and said goodbye, and told the manager on the way out that I would be back soon.

I could have left much sooner pissed off, but it would have been much more awkward making another appointment. At least they knew in the end that I was not happy with the situation. Next visit was off the charts, so I felt that I had made the right decision. Sorry this was so long winded. Guys, just think about how to leave gracefully if you decide to go and not accept the offer of another girl or have to wait too long for the one you want.

I Was just talking about this in another thread. Many times once you get to know the girl/shop very well they start to take advantage of you because they know you will keep coming back or put up with it. I believe once this starts you have to sometimes put them in their place however you feel is best to do so. Yes sometimes it pays to wait or put up with the crap but is starts getting very old and its time to not go back for awhile at least.

I agree. Reality is them squeezing in one extra house fee at your expense gets reversed if you decide to take a break from them for a few weeks.

This doesn’t seem that complicated.

Rather than being their doormat and worrying about hurting their feelings for leaving when they disregard the value of your time, and you didn’t bring a 3 course meal to cook for them :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:, use their doormat and politely but decisively get up and leave. And don’t let them pull the masseuse out of her current session to take care of you, you are not really that important and it ruins another persons massage.

As they try to get you to stay, and they will….remind them that they should not worry, you‘re fine, you have another place you can go, and that you will take care of them next time you return, if there is one.

All these places are just money hungry. If someone comes rings the bell and you have 15 minutes left in your session, they will try to have them go to another room and wait. Otherwise a sign on the door may have that potential customer simply just walk away. It makes business sense to me why they run it that way. I am not a fan of it of course, but I do understand it.

Manager didn’t even offer you a session minus the house fee? That manager does see you as a door mat and not a valued customer. They just see dollar signs I mean why is it everyone else had their appointments kept but yours was bumped until finally at the end and only half an hour. Because they know they can abuse you in this way. You’re just one person and they don’t worry about a nice guy calling the cops. One place would do this to me every once in awhile and I wouldn’t go back until she would text me and she knocked off her house dee.
Only reason I would go back is they would occasionally have gems and I did treat the girls write and then they treated me like their boyfriend during the session and a few j did managd to see independently.

BTW, I get plenty of perks and free house fees at some places, even the one I alluded to. Just sometimes they try to see what your breaking point is. That's why it does not pay to burn the bridge behind you.

There’s plenty of places to go to, if a place treats you bad just find a new place or boycott. Shit you even cooked dinner that’s amazing!

Depending on the area Plenty is an understatement. I'm in the burbs and I can count at least 15 to 20 within a 10 mile radius maybe more. I have also encountered a few scheduling conflicts.

I can agree with how Wayne left here. Had he made a big scene it goes against the sentiment to begin with- he’s there essentially to have fun, hang-out, and earn respect. Has he earned the high mileage airline credit card perks? He has simply not accumulated the points. Many mongers have the magic all too quickly, while with some it takes a bit longer in time. His story speaks of a humble experience where he is working his way in. This step of hanging out and not being so desperate for a session will go a long way in my opinion. If it doesn’t, he has the choice: “Do I keep putting forth additional effort? Because I’ve already came this far… Or, like many other mongers in the thread have urged… Do I simply pick-up and move on at this point?” It’s a tough question that relies on a number of factors. Quality can mean more than quantity. And, thus patience & persistence maybe worthwhile. Just my honest opinion. When you become a close-knit member of a spa, there is no greater feeling.
