I think most of us want to contribute, but a lot of reviews are marked "incomplete" and get rejected and this group was targeted as potential buyers, too. I agree with Dc46 that paid VIP access will result in more pretty, but fake reviews. On behalf of the people, who do not wish to contribute reviews, I just cannot see that anyone wants to give out their real name, address, credit card and personal info. The site could make more income if i.e. Visa Gift cards would be accepted with no any personal info.
Honestly, I think making the non-reviewers pay for any access, to the reviews and possibly ads sections just makes sense. But if the are going to block it, they should block all or nothing. Right now, the private details section doesn't do shit, considering all the juicy details can be deciphered through the replies
I personally would never pay, because I would prefer no paper trail leading back to me. You know, just in case I decide to run for President or buy a Professional NFL team one day.

I’ll just say this...and I say it from a great deal of experience.
There’s 2 distinctly different types of guys on boards like this. The kind who likes to write reviews and share with their brethren....and the kind who don’t feel comfortable sharing but also love to see the girls and find value in reading reviews that are posted by the review contributors.
These 2 distinct types typically do not understand each other. Sort of like men are from Mars women are from Venus.
The review contributors say they’d NEVER pay to read the details. Often judge those who do with a great deal of suspicion. Even in some extreme cases look down on them as a lower class of people, viewing themselves as the true contributors and viewing those who pay as somehow cheating to get to the valuable info.
The lurkers who pay don’t often take as critical view of the review authors. After all, they provide the valuable intel they are willing to pay for. However with that said, I’ve heard many of them over the decades say they can’t understand how someone could put all that intimate detail out there in print....and that they could just never personally do that themselves,
Now get this—stick both types in a room together with some ice cold mugs and a couple cases of beer.....the two will come together, see eye to eye, and develop a respect for each other that neither had prior to actually meeting in person, breaking bread, and downing some ice cold brew together.
Seen it happen. Heard the “Man, I thought that guy with only 1 post and paid access was LE....turns out he’s a pretty damn cool guy!”
Give each other a chance guys. You’re both after the same thing. You just go about it in different ways
