Hey guys. Recently hit up a NYC spot for the first time. I am Philly based and have been a monger for years. Actually moved away from the traditional AMP scene to the private agencies for the past 3 years.
Now I already know the basics of tipping, good service gets more and all that. Just wanted to check if I have been doing things right or wrong the whole time or if NYC just does things different.
Where I am from normal spots are around 160-200 plus tip. Agencies have a significant increase in the 300s. The way I have been doing it and with no problems this whole time is at the agencies I would consider that increase basically as the tip. So I would rarely tip extra on top of this
Basically at this new york spot it was 320 and me not knowing I was supposed to tip more I didnt bring much change. Only had a 50 so I gave them that. Then they wanted even more.
This is already pretty expensive in my eyes but now I am feeling like a jerk because some of my favorite girls who I am regulars with both NYC and Philly, I rarely tipped them after the session. They always seemed to like my repeats and never complained about my lack of tipping though.
So my final question is at the agencies both NYC and in general do you tip more after the original 300,320,350,380 cover fees? My answer is rarely whatever is in my pocket 10-30.
