Ok here is the deal. I am educated. I have spoke to doctors. Now I need the real experts - all of you - to offer your advice / experience. I am long done having children, but never considered this until now. An SB situation may be presenting itself to me, and I will not trust an SB saying she is on the pill nor do I put 100% faith in raincoats. I have no intention of being subpoenaed for a paternity test.

For the vast majority of people I know it was easy. They said they were down a weekend and then mostly fine. That said I personally have not done it because I have had bad luck with doctors. I do know a few bad stories though. I will say this. If you get it done and you have ANY symptom at all that seems out of whack (dull pain/soreness of course to be expected) - esp fever - go to a DR immediately. I know someone who got an infection and it ended up very badly (needed skin grafts to create a new scrotum). For most, the vast majority, it's not that big of a deal. The part that sucks if you draw the short straw. Good Luck.

I think it’s a good idea . I thought about it . If you’re to the point where kids are not in thE cards anymore then why not. I’m no doctor but I think it’s a fairly simple procedure. Not much can go wrong. It would be nice to be able to fire away and not have tO worry. Well then again you would still have to worry, just one less thing to worry about

I've had it done, was a breeze for me. I am done having kids and don't want a accident later. Plus being in the hobby, I don't want any surprises. I would say go for it.

They really help if you have a significant other and can have sex worry free not to mention condoms suck. Would still of course use one at an AMP. The numbing needle was the worst part but overall simple. I was back to work in a few hours with only a minor ache.

Thanks guys; my biggest concern was if afterward, whether permanently or temporarily the little blue pill would be needed or any urination issues. A former colleague had it done many years ago and mentioned his difficulty performing after, although as it turned out he did have some underlying health issues. Happy New Year and Happy Hobbying !

I had mine 10-15 years ago. There's no noticeable difference in my sexual health/performance - I'd never know I had it done. I don't know anyone who has had one (I know many) who had any issues from it. The guys I know who have less of an appetite were slowing down before they decided to have it done (it figured into the decision) but I don't know anyone who slowed down because of it.

That is, after normal healing. Your sack is very swollen for about a week, which could cause some temporary issues in the area, but you're good-to-go once you heal up.

No problems for me. I had one 35 years ago after having my second child. You'll be sore for a few days but I was out playing softball the week after the procedure. The best thing I remember is the first time I nutted. It felt awesome!! 30 years later after having a hip replaced, I was at the orthopedist for a check-up. I took a picture of my x-ray and it showed the clips for my vasectomy. Proof for any girl questioning my ability to have a potent load for her vagina, haha!!

I got it done a year ago after my kid. Worst part was the numbing needle then you’re sore for a week. My doctor told me to cum 20 times get a semen sample tested then cum 10 times and get a second semen sample. After 2 negative samples of semen then I was clear. No side effects at all.

Had it done 25 years ago. Make certain your surgeon utilizes ample anesthetia (in case you're wondering, mine did not!). Worst part was shaving and then dealing with new growth. Will groom, but never shave down there again.
Other than that, no biggie, tho please don't tell my wife that, as I milked her sympathy for all it was worth...

Does it totally change the consistency/color of your semen? Maybe TMI, but I was once on flomax for a kidney stone and when it was time for the finish, it was clear liquid only. Apparently thats a common side effect of flomax where it doesn't mix the clear stuff with the rest of ingredients which also happens with a vasectomy?

Crazy thing was I didn't say a word, as I have a ridiculously high threshold for pain , (btw, note to self, never say that to a BSDM practitioner, again) he could feel my body trembling as well as see the expression on my face...

Had mine done 20 years ago with little complications. There has been no change in appearance or sensation. In brief, you get what the Doc promises. Everything still works just fine. For me, it was the psychological effect of concluding the reproductive portion of my life. I regretted the decision, partiality blaming my spouse for the pressure that she applied (she had already had 4 pregnancies by then). There is still a slight feeling of regret. No plans for more children but it would be nice to know that I could, if I wanted to. I'm actually on a solid financial footing now, unlike the early years when money was always an issue. Mick Jagger, Rod Stewart, Trump. All banging young, attractive women and seems to work for them. I want to also

I looked into this when I lost weight and got in shape(got hurt at work and gained most back now). If you choose to get snipped shop around a lot. Biggest question to ask is how many of these procedures the doctor performs per month that will be doing your procedure. If he/she does 4 to 6 a month minimum put them to the top of the list but more is better.....also its better if they do them every week not a couple times a month. Also verify that the doctor you are consulting with is the doctor that is actually doing the procedure....not someone in their practice. What I read was that doctors who do the prodecudre more often have less complications than the weekend warrior snip jobbers. Most doctors do this procedure on Thursdays and Fridays to minimize down time for you.. you get a long week end to recover with frozen peas on your groin.
