I'm surprised that local govt's have not locked all of these joints down completely for now. In reality, its irresponsible and on the verge of neglect, if they don't real soon. Give it a week.

It took years to shut the gay bath houses when AIDS appeared, even once people understood how AIDS was transmitted. Those of us old enough to remember the 1980s and 90s, where there were really no AIDS treatments, know that Covid is nothing compared to AIDS.

Unfortunately, people are easily influenced by mass media. Especially the younger generations. They were raised by TV, bathed by propaganda and now are hysterical sometimes. In the history of the mankind and even in this century it’s not that big of a deal to cry over. You just need to be a bit more cautious than usual. There is always a chance you’ll get hit by a car. You don’t stop walking on the roads cause of it. Keep realistic.

Two sensible responces. I just got blasted on another thread because I accused the monger responces, the news and the social media of being over reactive.

Be sensible, we will get through this. Not the first world wide virus scare we have had to deal with.

Providers are more susceptible to contracting and spreading this virus because of the numbers of clients they entertain. They may not have severe symptom, if any. As such, the virus can be transmitted to uninflected clients, which the clients can transmit to the community. Each of us will evaluate our own risk-benefit factors in this hobby. But the more important element, in my opinion, is what is best for the common good of the community. Personally, and many may disagree with my opinion, but I believe that we should wait for this pandemic to end before placing the community at risk. It is one thing taking a personal risk. It is another thing placing others at risk.

No disrespect, but comparing this to the AIDS epidemic is like comparing salt to pepper. We've got a pandemic. Transmitted person to person, with no real risk factors. Like or or not, his is the real deal guys.

This storm is gonna come thru, kill significant numbers of people, and wane. Then it becomes the race between the next huge wave and a vaccine. The impact on our economy will be affected for years to come tho. I bet some of us spending a good chunk of our income on this hobby are gonna have to cut back a bit.

Personally, I'm not too concerned if/when I come down with this thing, but the thought of bringing it home to a friend or elderly parent is too overwhelming right now to even consider going to an AMP for the time being. I even stood up my ATF twice over the past couple weeks (I did text her tho). We don't even wanna shake hands with our buddies, but are willing to shake our snake with these AMP girls, who in turn are shaking more than hands with 10 other guys a day? Not to mention all the other foot traffic in these joints. No way Jose. Lay low and stay safe for now. Wash your fuckin hands and get tested when available.
