I agreed their job is at stake and they should be fired. A lot of thought goes in this one high caliber people don't need this exposure and those responsible will be targeted just like the mafia bosses
I doubt that their jobs are at stake. It appears that they did everything by the book. They did go to a judge to get the warrant. When all of this cools down they may have to explain why they used the resources they did to make prostitution arrest but I wouldn't bet on it. They arrested a lot of people with the means to defend themselves in court so this should be interesting to see how it plays out.

One of the first thoughts that crossed my mind was RK being a friend of the President. Without getting political (a whole different diatribe) it occurs to me this would be an embarrassment to a lot of people and a way to garner a ton of attention to a situation that is not legitimately a problem.

Think about who benefits from this financially. It’s not politicians. They may use the idea of human trafficking to get votes and campaign contributions, but there are a lot of other ways to do that. Its not LE. They can use it to get attention and funding for their departments, but it does not personally enrich LE members. The ones who directly benefit financially from a drummed up human trafficking crisis are the “non-profit” organizations that will use this “crisis” to appeal to a million on-line small donors for contributions and to write grants for government partnerships to fight “human trafficking”. It is the administrators of the non-profits that pull in huge salaries who stand to benefit from creating a crisis out of thin air. Expect to see a flurry of spam asking for donations to fight the evil spa trade.

Remember, just follow the money.
How can these women willingly ?? travel here and not have any idea what they will be doing ??

Exactly. these cops didn't go rogue here. They were following orders in a planned operation. We may not like it but speculation about their jobs being at stake is a reach at best

Gullible and/or desperate people are easily duped into believing things that are either too good to be true or flat out lies. Just look at the sheeple who believe what they want to hear and elect our d-bag politicians in this country. Which beings me to my next point...the spineless charlatans, frauds, liars and scumbags in power today are absolutely behind policies that embrace the tactics used in this case

I could not agree more about the House of Representatives.

Typical brain dead Trumpite.

I'm far from a liberal or a Democrat, but get your face out of someone's ass and open your eyes. It's your "hero" who is partying with the madam in this case, and selling influence/access. TV comedy writers couldn't get it any better: Champion Of The Thumpers Caught Cutting Deals With Sextrafficking Chinese Madam While Trying To Act Tough On China And Convince Bible Belt Thumpers He's "One Of Them".

Funny, many of them ARE just like Trump, quoting their version of hate-scripture on Sunday, and helping the underprivileged hookers (especially the male ones in a lot of cases) on Monday through Saturday.

Truth is stranger than fiction.

Of course they know what they're coming here to do. Doesn't mean that its cheap to get over here, or easy, but the media and LE would rather try to sell a 1970s-style sob story rather than tell the truth or go find out, since it would knock the foundation out of their human trafficking claims. Even more stupid when the same garbage is repeated about women coming here from South Korea - the most internet-connected country in the world. The anti-prostitution brigades will never want to give these women credit for being smart or tenacious. It always suits their narrative better if the women are hopelessly naïve and in need of "rescuing".

I never got the idea that any girl at any spa wasn't doing it willingly. All seemed to like the money. They make a lot more money doing this than working at some chinese restaurant or other place where they can work without speaking English. I think the girls make a bunch of money then go back to China.
They fool ya on non english shit, Noticed it several times that they are fluent in english. They do it to enhance your fetish, or won't be admissible in court tapes.

Well said JV....There is no Trafficking, sex slaves or "prisoners" is the stores...I know because I live with them in Flushing 3-4 days a week...They travel freely and work for who they want....OL
The

Dunning Kreuger effect. Based on your limited observations and knowledge you draw a conclusion. Bullshit. You think slavery and trafficking means they walk around in chains? Try this -- they owe money to organized criminals who threaten their families. They can walk away, and their dad gets thrown down a flight of stairs. And you seriously think they will tell you? "Oh,, I am trafficked." Boom, Dad gets' thrown down a flight of stairs. Or loses his job. Or his shop gets smashed. They have no idea who you are.

Here's a story. I asked a spa girl who I was sleeping with for 4 years about Tiannamen Square. How she felt about what happened in 1989. She said "it's a beautiful square." Then changed the subject. This is a different culture, they are afraid of authorities and never snitch. And are bound to family in a way I cannot comprehend.

Wishful thinking is how they manipulate your wallet. You are in a con.

My "limited observations" are much more extensive. I married a spa girl who worked in the industry for many years. I won't tell you that some girls don't have loan shark debt (but even the ones that do weren't put into debt by parlor owners or industry kingpins that turn around and require them to work in their stores). My understanding of the business is fairly substantial. Trafficking is the exception, not the rule.

I'm afraid you might be the one suffering from Dunning Kreuger effect.

I will say it again, this specific case had nothing to do with human trafficking or sex trafficking or sexual slavery or what ever you want to call it. This was an out of control prostitution sting. If any of these women were truly held against their will or they were forced to do this then every cop who took part in this whether local, state or federal should resign immediately. They would be morally unfit for their jobs. They spied on them for months before installing the cameras. If they believed them to be slaves, they would have removed them much sooner. Instead the let another month go by so that as many as possible could be filmed. They got their body count and they got the publicity they wanted. You should be asking why the police used a technique, which was only to be used for terrorism investigations, was used to bust a massage parlor? How did a judge sign off on this? Maybe he wanted free porn.

This had nothing to do with human trafficking. They filmed the guys and girls in the parlor. They did not investigate the people the mammasan was talking to. They did not investigate the money trail from the parlor. They did clearly establish a trafficking link from NYC to Florida. They just said things that they know cannot be checked. Like saying your dad will get pushed down a flight of stairs.

Remove the criminal penalties so the fucking cops cannot do bullshit like this and will be able to go after real traffickers. Also, the vast majority women and girls who are forced into prostitution against their will are Americans, and they are forced by other Americans.

I meant to say that the cops did NOT clearly establish a like between NYC and Florida.

I find it disgusting that this is still in the news and that disaster in Houston is not. Cops lied to get a no-knock warrant, killed the homeowners, shot themselves and nobody is talking about it. And they found no heroin. Sex sells in shallow sex obsessed society.

and yes... my wife borrowed money to come to the US, but she new exactly what she was coming here for.
I am glad that in her case she did.

It is so frustrating to read differing post on here, where everyone takes their experience and extrapolates that all the women have the same situation.

That just isn't the reality of things.

True for all kinds of women, not just AMP girls.

Even if one of these women is your GF (or you imagine she is), there is still all kinds of separations in play: language, cultural, psychological and sexual. You're never really going to know the Truth. Personally, I always assume they see us first and foremost as an ATM.

True... all situations are different. And I don't claim to know-it-all, but I know someone that was in the business for years, so my perspective (from hers), might be closer to the truth the some people's.
