I believe they have 2 spots..and maybe #1 is the other...but not 100 per cent sure only that I was told to use #8....

I told this story b4 but it's worth repeating. Driving down the street a cop is parked a few feet from their door. I go around the block to give the officer time to move on. Second pass still there so I call MMS and tell her the door is being watched and I'm going to reschedule. She says NO NO NO - come right in! Police sleep there every day! No worries! Classic. She was right except the officer was staring at her cell phone! Could not care less about me!

Same story for me at AZN, 11 pm one night, for late appointment as requested by a friend years ago. Two police officers parked up the street facing the door. Called Emo, she said don't worry, park in the lot and come around the back door. My guess afterwards, they were waiting for a shift change. Station is only a block away at 11th and Vine.

Same issue but with city bike cops at Osaka. They all hung out outside of 5 Guys before and after their lunch right next to the Chestnut Street door. Again, back door was very easy answer.

Thanks for sharing the info. I think cops are either too busy or not interested as long as there is no big fuss or complaint. I am sure they know the backdoors as well if they wanted to intervene!
