Calling bullshit on ‘tourism’. Text from 200-300 years ago has kanji. That was before tourism. Language evolve just admitted. Unless I find zero Kanji in Japan educational text book, you are incorrect on this topic which is current Japanese language is fluency by chinese.

chinese characters are not in the japanese language for tourism. it is an undeniable part of japanese culture/language.
ramen? that's chinese for pulled noodles. ninja? that's chinese for image person.

Is it completely possible to write a japanese sentence without kanji? yes. does it flow and make sense to do so? no. it would be the most awkward sentence known to japanese.

just about everything you said is US propaganda. how do I know? I am an american that once believed all of the BS that's spoken about our enemies such as Iran, China and Russia.
tankman was not massacred or run over by tanks, international waters around china are being militarized because the US sticks it nose half way around the world in the south CHINA sea where it has no business being in. putin is not the evil man our media portrays him to be. he invaded russia for the same reason we didn't want cuba to have nukes, and to stop the killing of ethnic russians in donbas. I stopped listening to our media a few years ago and started watching alternative media.

I can assure you students were persecuted and dealt with after Tiananmen protest, hundreds if not thousands never heard again including personal friends. Maybe a couple hundred not enough for your def of massacre. Tankman never heard again. If US propaganda is 5, china is 10. Tell me why google left china. Why is Philippine fisherman fighting with chinese ship in Philippine water? Why HK protest? Good luck and enjoy the dust filled sky in china while they tell you it is safe. US is not the best but china is at the bottom of the barrel.

Actually Google was banned by china precisely because of the uyghur issue. terrorists were using facebook to communicate and organize their attacks and china requested access but google said no, so china said bye.
