I grew up in Qnz. spent a lot of time in do or die Bed Stuy. I worked for years doing construction all over the borough of Brooklyn and the height of the whole crack craze. I go down there now and I'm like WTF happened! It is very gentrified. I just go back to my roots riding the 7 train from Qnz into Manhattan and at that time it was 50-50 if you were going to get into it with someone. Even when in a group. Back then it was fisticuffs rarely knives or guns. You just have to walk down the street like you own it. Fuck it if something's going to jump off it's going to happen. Life is dangerous in Brooklyn and in Omaha Nebraska. We all owe a death. Now if I have occasion to go into a dangerous area most people think I'm a cop. I'm an RN lmao. People up here in Rockland told me beware in Spring Valley it's dangerous I just giggle sheeeet. I was putting down concrete in Bushwick in the 90's when 2 dudes were chasing each other shooting not aiming just shooting, 2 guys I was working with jumped into the wheel wells of the mixer I was just standing there like you can come out now they're gone. If I got hit with a stray round and bought so be it. Fuck I was in the Root in 84.

@Fucklikebeast to answer your original question - the neighborhood is safe, it's +90 % Brownstones. The only thing i got from all these rants is @Uniquelyme should be ignored on any topic besides asians boobs. those neighborhoods he listed as "safe" parts of brooklyn are either predominantly white or neighborhoods where ppl feel Trump should have won the election. - moderator needs to lock this post because it's going down the drain now.

Lol. Let's be clear, I never ask if the neighborhood is safe. Cause ik if it is or isn't.

However @Fucklikebeast asked if it's safe or hood. And I answered that question correctly. Bed Stuy is way better than it used to be but it still has hood areas. I also commented and disagreed with ppl saying Brooklyn is bad, when most of it is good nowadays.

I won't derail this thread anymore.

No where with people is safe is a saying that everyone should keep in mind. Wrong place wrong time, you get it.

But brooklyn is not what it use to be, jesus back then crossing the williamsburg bridge/delancey would be a sight you don't want to remember. My family use to bid for properties owned by the city in bk where the lien is more than the value of the property itself, that was how bad it was. If anyone said they miss the old BK you can easily relive it by moving next to a garbage dump, which was what bk was back then.
