I was led out 45 mins into my appt with sandy yesterday. They mis scheduled per usual. Been a recurring theme here based on other reviews I read as well.

PreCovid Sandy usually provided more massage if time was still on the clock. I’ve seen her a few times after things opened back up and I’ve never made it past the 45 minute mark. She consistently says they’re busy and she’ll make it up next time.

I guess it makes sense. Having consecutive 9, 10, 11 o clock appts, someone is bound to get shorted. They can’t just let one out and run to the next. I think it’s better this way so you don’t run into people on the way out and the provider can clean up the room and freshen up.

You serious? That's some shit right there. Scheduling shouldn't be so hard. If they are shorting people to jam in an extra session a day ultimately they will lose more than they make.
I was not told why, nor did I as, so I'm not sure if it is to schedule more appointments in one day.

Many places your hour is from when you enter the room to when you leave the room. Giving a few minutes on each side of the massage for undressing and dressing. You typically end up with about a 50 minute massage.

In general there is a good reason why a particular lady/spa is busy and other ladies/spas are not. Top ladies get to work where ever they want. Busy spas attract top talent. So what exactly are you guys complaining about?

I was just reading about a guy complaining that his favorite was too booked up and it is becoming difficult to get an appointment with her. He had to settle with another lady and she was great if not better. Competition is good. Don't fret over 5-10 minutes.

I agree to an extent but if you pay for an hour you should get an hour, not 45 minutes. Think about it. If you are a repeat customer, every 4 sessions you are actually only getting 3. It raises the price by 25% in effect. If that isn't an issue for you due to the quality of the session it's all good. But typically the money is for an amount of time. I don't get upset about a few min either way but it's always better to deliver a little more than expectations. That's the literal foundation to customer service.

Totally agree. A pet peeve of mine. At a basic business level this is fee for service. Sure, a few minutes here or there doesn't matter so much, but when it starts dipping into 15, 20, 25 min shortage that is just wrong IMO. If you went to the grocery store and bought a loaf of bread, but the cashier takes out a quarter or more pieces of bread because the store is low on bread but charges you for the full loaf, I bet you'd be pretty pissed. You might even say that is criminal. But for some reason we have to be "ok" with the product of "time" being stolen from us. You may not like the analogy or claim that its not the same, but its the same in principle. If the providers want to change the rules than be upfront about it. Advertise 45 min rates instead of talking in hour rates. Just saying.

Don’t think of it as stolen time :) You can go eat a loaf of exotic bread from the nearby grocery store with those extra 15 mins. If you don’t like it then don’t go back :)

Agree Haddo94, and like DH said, if you really get burned on time more than once, you don't go back if they don't make it right. Which is a shame if the service is good. This is pretty much a commodity service so you have to vote with your $$. Sorry for the tangent G&G, not trying to derail your review. Sandy is a treasure, but it's nice to get what you pay for.

I personally think they should just schedule 15 mins between appointments. Makes everyone happy.
Also, this place and sandy has so many reviews already no need to blow up the spot.
Mongers go here to understand the lineup and good places to try. No need to have 1000 reviews on sandy lol. Only negatives come with that

Didn’t think my review would start this discussion but glad you are all chiming in... in my opinion, part of Sandy’s appeal (and my other favorites) is the feeling that I may be special and as a result, am getting a unique experience. Getting rushed out the door breaks that illusion and devalues the otherwise great session. Of course I will continue to see her but it’s short sighted on her (or Mama’s) side and an in-my-face reminder that it’s really about the bucks.

I guess maybe as a 1st timer there I was fortunate enough to get the whole 60 we'll see what happens on my next visit.

I agree 100% ! I've been here many times over the years and rarely have gotten my full 60 minutes.I'm an easy customer and leave higher than most when finished.Always pleasant service but always "very busy make up to you next time".I would rather know in advance that I'm not going to have 60 minutes. It would be best to know that I have 45-50 and plan accordingly.Just my 2cents but I'll be back. :)

In my opinion, the session starts when you enter the room and it is basically over when you pop. I mean The only exception would be if you pop five minutes into the session but if you go through the regular routine and accomplish all of your goals and you're finished at the 40 minute mark then get cleaned up get dressed and get out. I've had sessions here ranging from 40 minutes all the way up to 70 minutes. They didn't complain when I went to 70 minutes so I'm not going to complain if I'm out 10 minutes before the hour is up. They're doing their best here to accommodate everybody. they do not offer half hour sessions here they offer a fee for a session. These girls and Mama remember everything. If you're the dude that insists on a 6 minute and 30 second foot massage because that's what you have left on your clock , they will remember that on your return visit. Don't be over critical guys.

I'm firmly in the camp that wants and enjoys the full 60 minutes. If it's really going to be 45 minutes, then as several have said, say so up front and stop saying "I'll make it up next time". One time I can forgive, two-in-a-row, forget it. Yep, I'm that dude who enjoys the final "6 minute and 30 second foot massage", although in my case I'll usually turn back over for more back and shoulder work. It often makes the difference between a good session and a great session. If the session goes to 70 or 80 minutes, I'll almost always reward it with a slightly bigger tip and/or a promise to come back soon, which I will be happy to keep.
