She was only requesting the now standard amount. You shorted her and she shorted you back. Bring a little more next time to get a full treatment.
When the funds are limited paying 25% more is not in the cards. I got what I paid for and was satisfied, the extra 40 out of my pocket would not have increased the value by 25% to me.

It’s the “standard” amount in your eyes because people don’t hold the line and let it become the “standard” amount. This is the same reason below average STG girls are asking 2.0+ for an hour, because simps let it happen.

It’s also called building a rapport with the provider over time. I’ve always given a certain provider there 1.6 (not to mention my 6th HF waived after 5 visits) and never gotten haggled for one penny more and had just as a good if not better sessions than people who have paid 2.0+. Hell I’ve had sessions where she only charged me 1.4 because I helped her with information she needed or we just had really good convos during the TS/massage.

Stop shoving this narrative that 2.0 is the “norm”, and control your own narrative. Being a lemming doesn’t help yourself or any other mongers out there in the long run.

No reason to brag or call out some names. I'm not going to go one on one, because I have a good thing going here and other spas where I am a known steady customer. I'm just saying what I think is the truth for the occasional customer.
Not a brag, it’s the fact the buyer let the seller establish the market when there is no justification to. If Anna’s can get 2.0, of course she’s going to, and I don’t blame her. However if everyone did what WAS the traditional 1.6, there wouldn’t be a reason for her to expect 2.0.

While I hold AMP’s to a higher standard than STG girls (because they do put in more work), and I’m willing to compensate for above and beyond service there is no reason for Anna to be able to demand 2.0 then when you tell her you’ll pay your regular 1.6 to give that person half assed service. Just decline the transaction and have the customer either choose another provider or leave. It seems like Anna is popular so she shouldn’t have an issue getting another customer if that’s the case.

Like I said the 2.0 is the norm narrative is something mongers let happen, and I personally don’t get it, especially with the lack of “talent” that is out there right now. Not going to apologize for having that stance but I do apologize if that came off as stand-offish, wasn’t the intention more than I was trying to get a point across.

Many disagree, at a 100 tip you think they haven't deserved a raise in their tip donation for more than 15 years. I feel bad that some customers just don't get it.

If that 1.4 is for someone you’ve seen numerous times and know they are going to give you proper service, there’s no issue with that and I’d never argue that point. And while the person I normally see there has given me a discount before, I’ve also tipped her more when a session runs long or I got above and beyond service, otherwise I’m imagining she wouldn’t give me a discount either when our session is cut short because MMS needs her for another appointment or just in general because we had a fun time, funny how that works.

However paying that 1.0 and getting below average service (and even badgering the customer about do they have a credit card) doesn’t seem beneficial in the sense of establishing a long term relationship on the behalf of the provider. Obviously Anna won’t be around long so again she probably doesn’t care, but as a customer I wouldn’t be going to see her again the next time she is around with that attitude.

And as far as “not getting it”, if you want to be the one to be told what to do and obey without questioning that’s on you. Unless I missed some inflation rate on a massage session and the costs associated with it I’ll keep the course. Been doing it that way for 20 years and never had a bad session in my life, just learning experiences.

But, I bet you would be pissed if you never got a raise at your job for 20 years. Lol. I can't be concerned, we all just need to do what we think is right. Have a great day.

My quick 2 cents. I have been on both sides of this coin. I particularly don't like paying 2 bills upfront for any provider that I'm not familiar with. Been burned many times with paying top dollar for subpar service. I pay standard fate upfront and always explain that if service is great then the tip will be great. In a nice way of course. Mostly great experiences.

These ladies are doing just fine. Even at 100/hour how many here are making that for than an hour's worth of work (tax free to boot). Times this by the number of clients (conserviatyely 4-6 a day) and that close to 130-150K tax free. so don't feel too bad. Guys wouldn't mind paying a bit more if the service gets enhanced. At somepoint they will price themselves out of the market.

No one would bitch at all for 140-200 in NYC for a perfect 10 but we all know there isn't anyone close to a perfect ten around these massage joints (maybe CP)
