I have no college nor formal educational training, nor did I finish High school, ended up getting a G.E.D, I started my first part time job at 14, been working since, now I'm self employed, own two and one half successful businesses, nobody ever gave me a handout. For me, its about being or becoming self dependant. I'm a firm believer in working hard or doing whatever it takes to be self sufficient, sometimes it took me to work more than one job just to keep bills paid and food on the table, I look back now, grateful for what I've accomplished and the ability to help others. I just don't see the same drive in the young people. I employed a mid twenties guy up to a couple years ago, he was great at his craft, he was paid well, yet he was always broke, his vehicle wasn't being maintained, it was how he got from one jobsite to another obviously, although he wouldn't spend to keep it rolling, I helped him several times to no avail, he seemed to think he had it all figured out, now he works at a local UPS warehouse loading trucks, he hates it.
