THAT took balls.
Thanks dude, but I want to make it crystal clear, my intention was not to bust anyone's balls here, it was to point a trend that has been going on for a few years now. Let's not act like this is something new because TJ got involved, we have all know what's been going on for a few years now. It would be easy to just point the finger and say "get rid of this guy" but then we would be no different than the person who just bans whenever they feel like it. I thought adding context crucial to the argument.

That's what I was aiming for. Thank you.

The REAL Bxbrown is correct and has valid points. Some members such as himself should never have been banned. Glad this site is making an effort to make improvements and move on. (y)
Thank you my brotha! Again, I'm not trying to go at anyone, but right is right and wrong is wrong and we all know something has been wrong for a very long time.

Can't agree on this at all.
Don't agree with this at all and that's why I'm purposely using this feature to piss off CM, LOL.

Suspend more. Ban less. A little more patience.
100%

Thanks bro.

would like to add that geographic locations, as in also what city, borough, AND neighborhood (like CTown, Upper East, Harlem, CityHall) would make it easier to peruse the reviews. Also the search function doesnt do search that well
Something like that or separate boards for Uptown, Midtown and Downtown Manhattan.

Greetings to all,

Just curious….

Are you happy with the moderating staff here?

Are the membership’s needs being met?

Is there room for improvement? If so, what improvements would you suggest specifically?

Speak freely….or PM me if you would like to share your opinion privately.

Thanks!
TJ
Room for Improvements:
If there is a way to Organize the reviews by AMP or Providers for each area that would be great.

If there is a way to add Rating to the review( nice to have feature)

Awards like Top contributors / Most liked etc publicly visible is another great idea to motivate collaboration and make conversations interesting.

I'd like to start off by saying THANK You TJ for taking the time to ask for our feedback. I initially wanted to say what I'm about to say last night and put it out in the open and NOT through PM's. Some of the bros (some banned, some still here) advised me against doing so but at the risk of this being my swan song or later facing some type of retaliation I will press forward.

I decided to put this in the NYC section and not the other section because I am a New Yorker and for the most part I like to stay out of the affairs of the other territories but as you can see there seems to be a common denominator across the board. I will be as bold to say I'm going to try and speak for most of this section and express how we feel, but I'm getting ahead of myself.

I'll start by answering your questions TJ.

Out of the 3 mods. Myhobby- Yes, hhnyc77- the GOLD standard of what it means to be a mod, rAMPage- NO.

Yes, there is room for improvement but at this point I'm not sure if we can course correct.

For starters, if possible can we add some other sections for the other parts of the country? Please bring back the San Francisco section and possibly rename it "The Bay Area" so that most of NorCal falls under one umbrella and end the destruction of the West Coast. What happens out West really doesn't affect me but it is nice to get the low down regarding the touring girls that start out there and head to NYC. Lastly, relieving Rampage of his duty. I don't say this last part just to say it and I will say why I feel this way.

TJ, you said today is AMPR's 5 year anniversary? Where has the time gone? I joined this site in late 2018 after the fall of SH. I had scoped this place out and refused to join in hopes of the return of SH but the past is the past and I gave up on that pipe dream and what I found here was something way better. I found a true sense of community. If you care to take a look at a lot of my posts I call a lot of the guys (not all) bro because of that sense of community. I was against meeting a lot of these guys in person but around 2021 I started meeting a lot of them, going out for drinks with them, heading to these places, and one time I was so drunk and could barely stand up one of the bros from this site drove me to mom's place so I wouldn't miss Christmas with my family. Yes, we (at least I did) truly built a sense of brotherhood with a lot of the fellas here thanks to this site.

For a time I will say from 2018- early 2020 this was the UNDISPUTED best board around. Did it have its flaws, did some guys deserve to be shown the door, and did some venues flat out deserve to be banned for shilling? YES, without a question yes.

I'm not here to pile on against rAMPage but I am going to state what I consider MY timeline of what has been going on here because the issues are NOT something new, how quick some are to forget but I'm not one of those. We all know we went into lockdown in 2020, no reason to get on that subject because it will just loop and we'll be at each other's throat. It was around that time that I believe a lot of us were stressed, getting cabin fever, some of us got sick, the election was coming up and basically all of us needed to get laid ASAP. I believe a lot of us were getting out of line here and a lot of the punishments given by Rampage and the other mods were justified here. Let's be honest with ourselves boys! I was suspended, given warnings, etc. The past is the past.

2021 and trying to get back to normalcy. I understand and remember what 2020 was and perhaps certain liberties had to be taken away, no problem, my issue is after that. We had probably gotten past the worst of it but the Billy bad ass attitude was just getting started. I noticed a lot of the bros were getting wiped out, they'd come back allowed to reset, drop a few reviews then bam! They were gone again. This is around the time when people started to get banned for no reason. I myself was given a whole shtick about "knowing better and setting an example for newbies", fine I took my licks and accepted it but I could feel the wind changing and started taking my work over to TER via copy and paste because it had now come to the point when rampage didn't like something or someone ELSE derailed a thread, he'd nuke the entire thread and just about everyone who had posted regardless of whether or not they had said something that in violation of the rules. I myself RARELY ever join in on the discussion because I had already figured out, something could be a lighthearted joke or God forbid you "liked" something you were out of here. I never really liked joining in on discussions but after figuring out what could potentially get you the boot I was less keen on joining.

Here's an example of that: See how a lot of members including a MMS was banned? What rules were broken? Do you see any TJ? I don't.
https://ampreviews.net/index.php?threads/how-old-are-you-guys.135525/page-3#post-969684

Some guys are just idiots and really don't bother to read the rules and deserve to get banned, in fact I believe some guys deserve it. What I don't agree with is the constant need to put a head on a pike here. We are told to set an example for others, no problem with that, but how about as a moderator Rampage sets the pace? Shit falls down, not up. How about a little professionalism? Lead by example. In 2022 I think a large amount of us already knew what was going on here was bullshit and we couldn't do anything about it. I will give a prime example of this. Some time last year DOES ANYONE REMEMBER THE "WHERE'S HHNYC77?" Thread? HH is the gold standard for what a mod should be and myhobby is alright too but HH had gone missing and the community legit missed him. All kinds of theories about his disappearance started to pop up and then here comes rAMPage and his ego basically saying no one started a thread for him when he wasn't around from late 2021 to early 2022 and something along the lines of "I guess if no one missed me, it's because I was doing my job the right way" Really? The balls and ego. The thread was out of legit concern for our brother in arms HHNYC77 and he had to derail it but what he did after that was talk shit yes, even about YOU TJ and then goes on to throw one of his famous tantrums, erases his post to cover his tracks (as he done many times before) and nukes the thread.

Ego- I just want to ask this, if rAMPage didn't have his superpowers and continued to act as he does, would he still be allowed to roam free? Because NONE of us could get away with a fraction of the shit he does.

Rule #7

Any trolling behavior includes, but is not limited to, personal attacks/bullying, criticism of someone's personal preferences, budget, etc.

No one here makes personal attacks, questions your manhood, feels the need to nail you to the cross, or bully's more than him.

Take a look at what the remnants of the SF said after they got fed up and left. Yes, that section needing cleaning up but not in the way it was handled.

https://forum.sex141.com/eforum/forumdisplay.php?fid=64

For the record @hhnyc77 and @Myhobby are both great but that's just my opinion.
I think your response should not be considered against rAMPage. This is not about for or against rAMPage. While one could moderate or reevaluate some of rAMPage's actions you posted here in the past, i feel one rAMPage kind of moderator is needed to keep many hoarders away. Again, just my opinion!

Since I’m assuming this thread constitutes a no-fire zone, one thing that I’ve never understood is why we’re not supposed to discuss BBFS.

I put this out modestly, could certainly be some issue I’m unaware of... but seeing as more and more places are making a point of offering this service, and that there are obvious health risks, it seems like something that we should be able to discuss.
Then again, perhaps there’s not really much to say, beyond the facile point that everyone’s risk tolerance is different.
But in general I’d opt for more freedom of speech here, not less.

Topjimmy, welcome back! And many thanks for reinstating me to my fav board (a shoutout to my bros who suggested bringing me back… @AutomaticSlim, @The REAL Bxbrown, and @이 회장님… sorry if I missed someone)

I greatly appreciate you giving us a platform to voice our concerns, so I’d like to add my $0.2 if I may….

Firstly, I commend you on creating AMPR, as it’s BY FAR the best site of its kind. Throughout my time here, I’ve only tried to be an upstanding member. I’ve developed some great friendships along the way, online and in person, and have learned a hell of a lot about the Asian girl scene in NYC and elsewhere (notably the SF-Bay Area), all due to this site. Sure there are some things that could be improved upon, but imho they are all minor compared to the main issue with AMPR… one Mod’s complete abuse of power. Obviously it’s difficult moderating a site like this, and I tip my hat to mods like HHnyc for his exemplary handling of his duties, fairness and understanding. I can’t speak of Myhobby, as I’ve had no interaction with him, but I hear good things.

I’m not one to speak poorly of others, but for the sake of AMPR, I feel I must make an exception… Rampage has come close to single-handedly destroying this wonderful place. Of course bans are a necessary part of upholding the quality of the board, but it’s gotten so out of hand, to the point of being ridiculous.

He’s banned me so many times I’ve lost count! Probably 5-6x, and I had to find out from others that it was usually due to being caught in the cross fires (i.e., for “liking“ the wrong review). Fortunately, another Mod knows very well that I’m legit, and always brought me back, until this last time when apparently Rampage simply would not allow him to. Why R has been gunning for me is baffling to me, as I'm far from being a shill or one to cause trouble. But obviously I’m just one of many, as he’s been so incredibly trigger happy and we’ve unfortunately lost many excellent contributors. I applaud you for allowing them back!

As others have noted, there’s never an explanation, warning, or an attempt to correct a mistake… just the boot, then rude mouthing off, blatant disrespect, and threats for the remaining members to read. We’ve all seen this behavior countless times, which has led to feeling like we’re walking on egg shells, being so careful to click the like button, comment on a review (even on one’s own thread!), and inevitably refrain from participating on the site.

Your return, TJ, is such a breath of fresh air… again, thank you! It gives us reason to feel optimistic that this site isn’t headed to the grave after all. Not sure the SF section will return to its former glory, but NYC certainly can. My only concern is… what happens if/when you go on hiatus again? Undoubtedly Rampage is taking notes on who has been transparent about him here, and very likely just biding his time before launching a major offensive once the coast is clear.

If I’m banned again, so be it. I said what I needed to say and life goes on. I just really hope that AMPR lives on and thrives, but I’m afraid that won’t happen as long as Rampage is in power, continuing his tyrannical bullying, extremely inappropriate behavior, and total disrespect of others. I sincerely hope that he finds peace in his life, but I must say… he’s just not cut out to be a mod at AMPR.

Thanks for reading. Let’s see how long I last after this, lol.

Respectfully,
Evol

This puts it extremely well: the walking on eggshells, constantly second-guessing one’s own comments on what should be the most creative and interesting review board in the country, given the intellectual/creative pool of NYC and the smartly-straightforward format of AR.

I’ve reincarnated myself more times than I can count, but if Rampage gets wind of it: blammo, banned again.

I wondered this too but I just found a post by @topjimmy on this subject a while back. Apparently, if word gets out that a provider provides that service for some mongers but says no to other mongers, it can put her in danger. Some mongers may get angry that they don't get the same LOS.
