I don't know what backwater towns or dive bars where you guys are meeting women like this (no direct offense JB), but I meet extremely successful women that are 100% self sufficient without a guy. A man to them is a conveience that can work their way up to being a companion.

I don't doubt these women exist, especially in urban areas. Living in beautiful Pigs-Knuckle PA, I have probably met less than 5 that behave this way. But, no matter how sophisticated and independent they are, I have to believe these women are still prisoners of biology and their biological clock. Evolutionary biology, our species have been around for about 200,000 years and most of it being hunter gatherers foraging the land. Due to our growing brain child birth is not only painful but takes a long fucking time for a human to develop so imagine being a female carrying a child while running away from some predators in the wild, you’re going to want to be with either a strong clan or a man who will protect you.
