Ya, a PI has no connection to law enforcement in PA. They are not law enforcement officers or employees and have no legal authority in the Commonwealth. They are hired by private persons who are looking for someone to do some snooping for them.

This was an excellent post, doing something all-too-rare: De-escalating a war of words. You recognized that the other guy (Chiparlor) is doing something admirable, and acknowledged it, even while knowing you were completely in the right about the PI/judge thing. Good going!

It certainly could be done, but I would not call it "very very simple". I know I'm not going to share info with someone who joined last week or last month. It's going to require a time commitment for someone to convincingly pass themselves off as a "trusted member". They're going to have to write convincing PM's and believable reviews with some sort of information that makes it sound like they really were at such-and-such AMP. At a minimum, it's going to take a good number of hours and more than a few days of work.

Again, I'm not saying it's impossible or even terribly difficult. But compare that to LE just signing in and getting all the info from some lamebrain review that spells out everything. Anything I can do to make it harder for LE to act, I'm in favor of.

Look the information retrieved from any site such as this provides reasonable suspicion to LE that a crime has, is or will be committed. They still have to have probable cause, i.e., the actual solicitation of a sex act for money, to make any arrest. The overwhelming majority of this offenses are misdemeanors. The person running the place will probably face felony charges. In most instances, its better to pursue health code violations against these places, i.e., running a non-licensed massage parlor or masseuses. While it's true that election year theatrics of seemingly being "tough on crime," with a MP bust, the reality is these are rather labor intensive activities for LE that surrender few benefits other than a quick sound bite on the 6 o'clock news.

So stupid of you that ALL state, counties, and jurisdiction varies! You have not been in courts advocating for the unfortunate providers like I did and have been doing!

Stupid? Here settle this now and go to the commonwealth docket, provide the link or/ show us the case where a "P/I" walked into a courtroom and did this. That will settle the argument.

Go get a massage (actually get a massage) and tip based on that. Afterwards what two consenting adults do is not illegal. But reading these reviews so many people are negotiating acts for tips which is the best way to get busted.

You know I wonder about that.
I think that the actual crime is solicitation, meaning that there's an agreement to a price for sex. I will do this for you if you pay me this much.

I'm not sure how that works if you just went in for a massage and a girl had relations with you without you discussing it. Even if you tip her or she asked for a better tip I'm really not sure if that's illegal.

It's not illegal to have sex with someone let's say that you're attracted to, even if it is in a massage parlor. It's not illegal to tip a masseuse.

I would think that when LE comes in Undercover they want an actual solicitation.

They did all that "work" and everybody walked. All of my favorite places over the years never ask for money. There is no negotiations. Places that want to haggle over a price I walk. They are never worth my time.
