Yeah, sure they do.
Actually, you're both right. India and Mexico do show up as popular destinations for Medical Tourism. USA is one of the most expensive countries for standard medical procedures if you pay out of pocket. USA does get a lot of cases, but it typically involves medical research. Where it is often last resort for those patients seeking treatment.

I've already done my research, and that's why I picked Singapore as where I want to retire. Medical care is both better and cheaper there than the US.

Broke Americans having enough money to fly half way around the world to receive treatment they could get here. Sure.
Seriously? They're not going to India for a Flu Shot, or their annual physical. They are going there because the cost of the medical treatment, plus airfare, plus hotels, plus any typical travel expenses, comes out cheaper than what they would have to pay out of pocket in this country. When you consider that for most Americans, that cost is AFTER insurance payouts, you'll understand just expensive the US is for standard medical treatments.

It's a big industry. People wouldn't be doing it if they weren't saving money.

As for treatment I highly doubt you can receive better medical treatment than what the USA offers. Can't believe americans would gamble with their health and fly off to 3rd world countries in the hopes of getting better treatment.

If this is really a thing I can only shake my head. Walmart cost healthcare seems pretty risky to me.

Not sure if that’s from Patriotism or not, but routine medical treatment in these countries are on par with that of the US. Most of the Doctors are trained in the US. Obviously if the treatment requires state of the art technology or technique, the US is the place to go. And that’s why people come here for medical treatment. Because it’s not available in their country.

Right. So why go anywhere else? Hospitals here have installment plans for those with whopping bills (I ought to know) and some hospitals even write off your entire cost of stay (minus the specialists involved).

Hard to beat cheaper if you're broke. Why pay installments when you can pay less. And we're talking routine treatments. Not the US only advanced ones.

The world must recognize that the CCP of China are the Nazis of this Century. Stop.buying Chinese made products. You are only supporting the CCP. Question would you support Hilter and his storm troopers ?????
The problem is most Americans can only afford cheap Chinese produced products and that's where 90% of electronics are manufactured

Thank God a lot of companies are moving out of China to other countries. EVEN Foxxcom who makes the Apple lines are moving production to Tiawan. Soon we will have a choice.
