No one expects how fast a virus will spread. It happened because they didn't learn from SARS. And most countries will run out of medical supplies at the rate they're using it.

The Doctors on the ground were all warning them in November and the Canadian Health Agencies knew late last year. It was a massive cover up and multiple top Wuhan officials are being fired behind it.

What's new about that. I've been saying that here since the beginning. If wasn't for Western Media, China would have had more time to hide the virus and allow it to get further out of hand. I never said they handled it well in the beginning.

They deliberately allowed this to spiral out of control because they need to cull off their population.

They do that just fine without needing something they can't fully control. Not counting the negative backlash from every country in the world for putting everyone at risk.

It's not worth as much outside China, I agree. But he cares. He can only push the outside world so far without embarrassing China, and piss off the population. He's already dealing with a unpopular trade deal with the US. Taiwan thumbing their noses at him about reunification. Hong Kong protests. Tibetan resistance. And the Uyghur revolt. The outcome of this virus may be enough ammo for his political opponents to force him to give up his permanent power and open it to Party elections.

I don't have an opinion one way or the other, but I can tell you from personal experience, every crazy conspiracy fantasy has a decent chance of being true in China. It's a dystopian nightmare of political corruption and dysfunction.
