Better Gifts This Year

I have never been big on giving gifts to my favorite providers, if I want to show appreciation I do it the old fashion way and give them more money. What many of you don't realize is that the gifts you give to your favorite providers are often re-gifted by the providers to their favorite clients. Last year I complained on this board after receiving bottles of pink champagne and plum brandy. Both of those bottles are in my liquor cabinet while I hope that they are stolen by my teenaged kids. However, yesterday I was pleasantly surprised to receive a bottle of Verrazzono Chianti after from one of my favorite providers. While not a premium bottle of wine, I am guessing it will be much better than the bottles I received last year.

Maybe next year I will get lucky and I will receive a bottle of good scotch. Thank you to the gent who gave the bottle of Chianti, it will probably go well with a spaghetti and meatballs some night this week. Happy New Year to fellow mongers everywhere!

A few years ago I gifted a girl at one of the AMP's with a box of Godiva chocolates around Valentine's Day. I read a few reports afterwards about how she shared them with later visitors. Oh well.

I gave my favorite a ceiling projector for her room. Today I found out that they bought more for every massage room. Think hard about what you give. Candy, wine, whatever, takes no imagintion.

You’re right.

Most Korean women do not like candy and wine.

January 22nd is Lunar New Year which is the biggest holiday of the year for Chinese, Koreans and Yanbians (ethnic Koreans).

A box of apples or pears from a Korean supermarket such as HMart is a nice gift idea.
