I wish I could avoid them. Business customers set me up all the time. Nobody likes seeing a happy, cheerful unmarried man. They have to saddle me with someone else’s failed wife. Neighbors too. At best, as I’m 62 now, I get a girl at around 45 offered. Some are ok looking, but I can easily arrange for a 30 year old, more attractive, more energetic pro with no pretense of having to play the dating game, or even talk to her again after unless I want. The cost is a wash. IMO, if you’re a relatively older single busy guy with a decent amount of money, you’re a fool for chasing civvies, when you can rent a pro for just the parts of having a girlfriend that matter. And your likelihood of picking up an Asian girl at the market are so low as to qualify as wasting time. I’m also not wired so I’m willing to trick girls into thinking I’m really interested in them as a gf if I’m not.

Exactly how I feel, except that I'm married. I had opportunities with civvies but the baggage to having an affair just wasn't worth it. Most middle aged women want compensation beyond money, like getting involved with her kids and so on. And why would I want to deal with anyone else's neuroses at middle age?
To the married guys who can pull off dalliances out of sight with willing civvies who want nothing more than an afternoon delight...more power to ya.

And the chances of picking up a 30 something hot Korean gal in the fresh noodle section at the Asian supermarket are slim to none for an average 60+ guy like me. Yeah, much more dignified and less creepy to simply pay for that afternoon girlfriend experience like most of us do.

I love the way they smell. Always super clean and fragrant, yet subtle (not overpowering). I love how there are always touches of "little girl" in their lives (dolls, stuffed animals, cute clothes, etc.). Never in a pedo way, but like they enjoy being a child sometimes. I do not agree that they love sex, I think they appear to love sex for their man. That said, when they find a sexual partner that shows an interest in pleasing them, they will go full throttle. But for a few of us that is simply not an option.
A lot goes into that.
The kind of childhood you had.
How you were raised/trained by your father or some other strong male figure.
How the world reacts to you from a from a young age into adulthood.
I am not ashamed to admit that I have never even CONSIDERED approaching a civilian female. Not even once.
And still, oddly enough, I consider myself to be a man.

I've had 2 introductions in my life.

1) My sister introduced my to her 34 y/o friend (with a 9 y/o daughter!) for some idiotic reason...when I was 27!!! And she had a 21 y/o secretary in her office at the time!!!
WTF!!! And she knew DAMN WELL how I feel about older women. She sprung this at EASTER DINNER, unknown to me. And to top if off, the old bag's ex husband WAS A COP WHO WAS ABUSIVE TO HER!!! This was completely done for the friend. It wasn't "oh here's a hot 21 y/o secretary for my brother", it was "oh, so an so has such a tough life, and my brother's a nice guy with a good job who could help her...I'll introduce them". Yeah. i am impressed, but I should point out that just like sex, the point with Hallasan is not to get it done as quickly as possible, but to enjoy it. It’s a beautiful spot. Your hotel is very nice too. I’ve always stayed other places, but that hotel is on TV shows all the time.

We absolutely enjoyed Hallasan. When we got to the summit, the clouds parted and for several minutes we saw the green bowl with the blue lake. All the Koreans were gasping and snapping pictures. Apparently it is a rare site in summertime. I was very lucky to see it.
