Ok, Slimmy. My deepest and MOST sincere apologies for calling you a fat POS for your ill-informed arrogant comment.
BTW, I don’t drink and am no newbie—-been mongering for 20+ yrs and don’t give a damn about endearing myself to anyone on Internet chat sites. I am beyond that and have a full life that does not need to be buoyed by seeking affirmation here. Now step away from your keyboard, tough guy, and go find some pussy, pussy.
Seems to me that you're trying to play the role of the "tough guy".
What with your name calling and insults.
Can't handle a differing opinion and extremely triggered.
Do you speak this way to people in person? Or just online?

Have you ever considered the greed of public sector employees?
Cops, firemen, and municipal workers who work max overtime their final year to pump up their pension payout?
Public school teachers (the WORST!) who cash out with 300+ sick days?
The above all make 6 figures in my county.
And they are bankrupting us!
Police and fire pensions are by far the highest. Blame binding arbitration. Padding last years not as easy to do anymore. Teachers cash out days belong to them they weren’t used and are part of their wage package. If they didn’t use them you think they should donate back to city? People who work for hourly wages for 20-30 years will never bankrupt this city. The people who’s income you will never fathom that pay little or no tax because the rich write the tax laws for their benefit. Private sector get screwed and blame municipal workers is the greatest trick the rich have done

Only when someone spouts ignorant, ahistorical jibberish. Seems you are the one whose been triggered once I drew attention to your uninformed insults directed to a whole profession.

Completely incorrect.
You started by shouting via your keyboard that I was a POS.
Which I countered with my own opinion, stated very calmly. And also implying that here in the US, we are all entitled to our opinions.
Then you called me a "fat prick".
Go back and read the exchange.

You have no idea how difficult being a teacher is. None
Of course he doesn’t. He has no life. Nearly 3,000 posts in less than a year, averaging roughly 10 posts a day. Get a life, Slim. I’m out. Time for my daily workout, then on to my morning rendezvous with my ATF. Have fun online Slimmy!

Per the below: The top 1 percent paid a greater share of individual income taxes (37.3 percent) than the bottom 90 percent combined (30.5 percent). The top 1 percent of taxpayers paid a 26.9 percent individual income tax rate, which is more than seven times higher than taxpayers in the bottom 50 percent (3.7 percent).

The Rich pay lots of taxes. Some Rich, those without much earned income, don't seem to pay a lot of taxes because of qualified dividend income and using capital losses to offset capital gains. The latter is actually a good thing for Society because it helps to incentivize the Rich to take risks.

The thing about municipal workers is they often get a far better deal than the average joe (who has no public-sector union looking out for them). That plus, they are financed by property taxes, which leaves the rest of us butthurt. I actually don't have trouble with paying it for police and firemen because they do put their lives on the line. Teachers are another matter. My personal experience is that they are the whiniest, most over-privileged & pampered bunch I've ever met. And I know for a fact a lot of them don't work that hard and do a shitty job educating kids. Especially today when many of them pass kids simply for showing up. I do feel sorry for teachers working in tough inner-city schools, but a lot of them adapt by just mentally checking out. I also think public-sector unions should be illegal.

You link is not the official I.R.S...and it's dated 2018....
Wages grew 3.7% for the top 1%, but only 1% for the bottom 90% of the population. Note that these data are about wages, not an income as a whole; they do not include investment income, for example, which is not part of Social Security data.
I believe your data is based on wages only
Jeff Bezos pays very little tax or if any at all...numbers are easily found on Google..Warren Buffett gave an interview a few years ago saying that it's a shame that his secretary pays more income tax then he does..

I alway find it amazing when working class carry water for the rich. Teaching is probably the most important job. But Republicans don’t see it that way. Merica
