Too much time of teachers school administrators and also students and parents is spend on achieving high test scores and by far not enough on the process of learning and gaining knowledge and the pleasure there of
But enough of this high falutin talk : let’s go to our amp girls and show them our solidarity !
Good idea about visiting AMP girls, I’m heading that way in a few.

I retired from the private sector and now teach in the public sector. There is a huge difference and if the taxpayers saw all the money the public education system wastes
there would be a revolt. Will not even bring up the fact that most of the education students are getting is poor. Would say about 40% of students get a diploma that would
never pass a real graduation test. Another 10% never lift a pencil for 4 years and still graduate. I am in a high rated district also cannot even tell you what inner city schools
are like you would not believe it.

The role of the rich? To work like the poor. You seem to believe some mental gymnastics. Where you are born and whom you are born to are some of the biggest indicators of success. Then the rich go about preserving that wealth w legislation for tax cuts labor strife war and the like. Good to be born lucky eh?
I agree..our president is perfect example. Daddy trump bailed him out so many times. How can any person with a business degree not realize how much money he has lost and how many times he filed for bankruptcy. I don't have a business degree but with some reading of financial facts and logic tells me this guy is more P.T Barnum then Warren Buffett..You reap what you sow... This crisis will expose him..but we will all pay a price health wise or financially

We are low on the list of Education around the world on grades 1 thru 12th...when kids come from other countries they are ahead in schooling of kids here.

Per the below: The top 1 percent paid a greater share of individual income taxes (37.3 percent) than the bottom 90 percent combined (30.5 percent). The top 1 percent of taxpayers paid a 26.9 percent individual income tax rate, which is more than seven times higher than taxpayers in the bottom 50 percent (3.7 percent).

The Rich pay lots of taxes. Some Rich, those without much earned income, don't seem to pay a lot of taxes because of qualified dividend income and using capital losses to offset capital gains. The latter is actually a good thing for Society because it helps to incentivize the Rich to take risks.

The thing about municipal workers is they often get a far better deal than the average joe (who has no public-sector union looking out for them). That plus, they are financed by property taxes, which leaves the rest of us butthurt. I actually don't have trouble with paying it for police and firemen because they do put their lives on the line. Teachers are another matter. My personal experience is that they are the whiniest, most over-privileged & pampered bunch I've ever met. And I know for a fact a lot of them don't work that hard and do a shitty job educating kids. Especially today when many of them pass kids simply for showing up. I do feel sorry for teachers working in tough inner-city schools, but a lot of them adapt by just mentally checking out. I also think public-sector unions should be illegal.

Sorry. I'm calling bullshit. In theory the rich pay taxes. In reality they dont. Fact.

Ok, one thought...bro are you insane?
Facts speak for themselves. We all know the loopholes, lobbyists, accountants, etc. You are 100 percent delusional and foolish to not acknowledge this. Same always to the so called corporate tax rate. Bullshit.

I touched the reply button by mistake. Erasing someones's long winded stupid comment was almost as painful as coming on here to read all the stupidity. If you think your comments make look smarter than the next guy, think again. I don't know why I even decided to look at such nonsense.

We are sharing ideas or arguing.about mongering and how the current situation is affecting our hobby... meanwhile I doubt it anyone on this board or this website is in the top 1 percentile..so we can only speak on our own perception and opinions should be taken with a grain of salt
