Yes .. no pun or reference intended.. LoL..but this thread is about the Beatles after all… there range and Catalog is unmatched.. both as a group and individually… I never enjoyed “covering” their tunes but I sooo! enjoy them when they pop up on my car radio.. nothing like them has appeared before or after them to date.. A Timeless Association …

I could never forgive McCartney for coming out with Silly Love Songs , maybe the worst song of all time . I didn’t love him before that but that sealed the deal . Stones 100% over the Beatles ; gun to the head among the Beatles I would pick Lennon because there were less songs and therefore less brutal songs .

George Harrison:

All Things Must Pass is a masterpiece;
Concert for Bangladesh - look at the musicians he was able to assemble
Traveling Wilburys - so. U h talent in the group and good songs

No other group before or since like the Beatles. From the first single "I Want To Hold Your Hand" that was given to me when I was 5 (back in 1970), no other group moves me the way they do. Loved the remastered versions of Sgt. Pepper's, the White Album (my all-time favorite album) and I know I'm going to love the forthcoming Let It Be remix to coincide with the Peter Jackson film.

My late mother put it best: she got the chance to experience Sinatra and the Beatles in her lifetime. TOP THAT!!!!

IMO Harrison was the most underrated Beatle. Lennon and McCartney got all the glory with a few cuts by Harrison. His solo stuff is awesome. The traveling Wilburys were also amazing.

This thread brings back a few memories. I watched the Beatles first US appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show on a black and white TV. Yes, I am actually that old. A lot of good music but over the years I got Beatled out. Then Wings lost me completely. I was never a Wings fan. If I had to pick one album it would be Abbey Road. Out of all the songs over the years the one that will still get me to crank up the volume is Led Zep's Kashmir.

After the Beatles, when I heard Wings, I realized Yoko was right. Get John away from that schmuck Paul before he ruins him forever. McCartney songs are pablum. John’s had some healthy subversion... provocation is rock n roll. Harrison had depth and real musical talent. Ringo hit the fucking life lottery.

Ringo fits the definition of a drummer. Someone who like to hang out with musicians. Except for Ginger Baker... :):)
