If I was desperate enough that it was my only option at the time, I’d go and act oblivious if anything comes up. Otherwise, I’d avoid completely.

There have been many times I’ve been waiting at the door and just so coincidentally a cop car strolls by. Spooks me every time and I either pull a phone out to pretend I’m lost, or plan a quick getaway if necessary.

I can understand if it a storefront with a huge sing. But a residential building ? I personally kinda like it. Perfect place to be.

I'm fine with that. I always walk in like I live there :D, the most obvious was the Grace Spa. It had some people outside when I came or even on the floor of the spa at other offices. The first time I went there, I was waiting across the spa for the correct address and the guy asked me if I want any jewelries, I'm sure he knew where I was going.

The 109th and 111th are within a few blocks of the action in Flushing and Bayside. They spend their time saving lives and stopping petty crime instead of checking out every neon sign flashing the word "OPEN".

I hear that some of the amp girls prefer this proximity as it keeps the riff-raffs away. Even some indies pick nearby hotels like The Marco and Anchor Inn for the same reason.

It doesn't really bother me or enter my thought process. Just act like you belong and you blend in
I definitely don't blend in when I'm in Flushing, but I walk into every setting and put people at ease. I think confidence in self goes a long way. You just have to play by the rules of the cultural setting you are walking into, be it Chinese, Korean, Latin, Indian, Indo-Guyanese, or American). A simple ni-hao, hola, or what-happ'n goes a long way

There are 3 amps literally within line-of-sight from the front door of a police precinct in Mid-Town. They’ve been in business for years, with the neon signs, sidewalk sandwich board signs, and standard massage posters in the windows. As far as I know, they’ve never had a problem with LE.

some years ago, this girl wanted me to meet up in motel. took short stay. I am in the room, girl shows up, did the deed. Girl left and I wanted to relax a bit and feeling hungry and thought little snak would do. so here I go out to the vending machine in the hall way, as I exited room here walks leo and for a moment I thought it was a set up. I walked normal got to the machine feets away, got my stuff and back to the room and left about an hour later.

Done it, doesn’t bother me. Only place I wouldn’t go to was a spot that was on my block in the 90’s on the UWS right across from my apt. Everyone in the neighborhood knew what was there and I would sit on my stoop and watch the hoooooottt ladies go into work. It was a full rainbow place (Asians, Latinas, Indian , white &black girls). It was hard but I never broke down as the big head surprisingly went undefeated vs. the little head... an unprecedented winning streak that’s never been duplicated since.
