To my fellow astoria hunters, there is a spa on 38th and 30. I saw a very beautiful full figured woman ringing the bell as I was walking back from Sunny Spa.

Is this a legit spa?

I walked out of a “spa” a couple years ago that was in the north side of 30th between 38th and Steinway. It was on the 2nd floor. Looked like an apartment that had been converted with very minimal effort and pretty dirty. 1 room with a table and living area that was partitioned with a curtain and had a mattress on the floor where they slept or something. That and neither provider was doing it for me so I left.

Maybe it’s improved now.

YMMV, but in general that place is a waste of time. The Mamasan is very fake nice which annoys me. Management tends to stick around there for a year and they are stubborn about feedback and tight lipped on staff changes and availability.

Koreans spend too much time trying to deceive and upsell. At least Chinese it's usually "WYSIWYG".

Thanks for the feedback, I think I'll stick to Sunny as my K local
