I don't know how you guys go through with verification...once your name, ID, work details, blood type, SSN or whatever the fuck these agencies ask for are out there, they're out there forever. I couldn't sleep at night with that knowledge. Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but I somehow doubt that anyone in this business has any real data security or stringent data use policies. Hats off to the mongers made of sterner stuff - I just don't have the stomach for it. Will be sticking to the walk-in joints!

Koreans trust referrals the most. A member from this site got me into EPM. A provider from EPM got me into DA. A provider from DA got me into KD. KG got me into Metro.
A Japanese Piano bar girl from Arena got me into the Piano Bars in midtown.
A cop got me into underground poker rooms in the Bronx and Queens. Another cop got me into an underground casino in the city. So it’s all about referrals. So use it.

Main dilemma. My instincts are exactly as the OP and I've followed that policy totally.
But there are a few girls at verification-required spots that I really want to see.
Reminds me of when I only allowed CBJ. Hard limit, until one day the girl kneeling at my feet with her mouth open and looking up into my eyes was so gorgeous...
I'm weakening but so far holding the line on ID. But if one of those places would let me in, put my #1 choice on her knees at my feet and ask for ID...I'm not sure what I'd do.

Doesn't bother me at all.
In fact, I prefer agencies that require references or verification.
Means they won't let just anyone in, and less of a chance I could be there when a strong arm robbery or an LE busts occurs.
To be honest, my references (I have many) almost always have been good enough to get me in the door.
A couple of indies in the past needed more, and one agency in the last 5 years required my picture id (not my DL - I used my building pass from work and it did not have my company name on it). I've never sent anyone a picture of my DL or credit cards or anything like that.
I am sure this is easier for me since I am not married and don't care who finds out what I do.
I only send one pic of a selfie with ID next to my face & everything blacked out including signature. Only things showing are name + dob year & zipcode. If they’re actually screening that is more than enough to figure out who you are. However, most simply use this as a a safety net in case something were to go wrong. Upscale agencies and providers are more likely to go deeper in screening than your typical amp agency.
And that random CCTV footage doesn't include a tight headshot as on an ID; or any identifying information...unless it's released as part of some sort of LE operation.
Yes, the LE agency may be using facial rec for their purposes - which generally don't include, as examples, malicious/vindictive release online or blackmail.
Clearly it wouldn't be in an AMP's or agencies interest to release such info; once word was out business would dry up quickly. But a rogue employee, etc.? Who knows.

I don't see a high risk in disclosing your DL (unless you're thinking SO of course, but then there are many other things to worry about).
I believe identity theft can only happen through an SSN, like opening a new credit card.
The DL is not a private document, it is handed at any pub door, shown to LE and commercial services, used for vehicle sales transactions, it can be copied, uploaded to the cloud, photographed etc. What kind of proof can a digital copy of your DL represent? I think txt message communication from your phone carry more risk than sending a scanned copy of a DL.
To be fair, the DL also carries your home address, so if you're worried about people showing up at your place that part should be covered. But other than that?
