So during the covid many of us have resorted back to wife banging. I for one was able to get mine out of her shell somewhat and had some extra enjoyable activities. We're somewhat young and shes on the pill, been for a decade. Well covid got her working out hard again, always did, but shes hell bent on losing extra 10 that I think looks great. Stupid gyno told her she will have trouble losing it with the hormones and she will drop if shes off it. Anyway shes been riding my HARD about getting snipped. Im a tough guy physical type job but a real pu$$y about getting my nut sack cut open. This whole situation is about to get ugly in the relationship. I can deal with the whole operations of it, but reading about guys with blue balls ongoing and taking months to really heal worries the hell out of me. I can take a little time off light duty to heal, but not weeks. Can any fellow mongers who have been down this road shed some light and give me some real info on what they experienced good and bad. Thank you in advance

Tell her your dr. Said she can tie her tubes. See how she reacts and then flip it over on her. So if she’s not willing to do that why should you tie your nuts ???

Also to consider if you already have kids or if not, do you want them In the future. I would say no! And try to CIM every time lol

I had it done 10 years ago. 1st ball was easy, five minutes, 2nd one, doc could not find the tube. It took another hour until he gave up. It was not pleasant at all. He had me X-raid and discovered nothing on that size. I was still not shooting blanks on the other side. I was able to have 2 kids. Had 2 test after the operation, Negative sperm count both times. All good now and so glad I did. Its great to fuck without a condom and relax knowing no babies coming.

To be honest, my wife never used birth control and we never used condoms for our first 8 years of marriage. Always pull out, and that technique worked. I know pre-cum can technically get a girl pregnant, but that’s extremely rare.

10 yrs ago. Hurt like hell while they were doing it - perhaps anesthetic wasn't strong enough. But recovery was easy. Had no discomfort, didn't need the frozen peas (that I actually bought for the purpose!), and was back at it in no time. Made no difference in performance. Don't be a wuss, just do it.

I had it done 2 years ago. I don't have kids, don't want them. Didn't affect performance. If anything it made me more confident in case a girl tries to trick you or when there's accidents. Because that has happened more often than not.

I had it done 20 years ago and never regretted it. It was simple, in and out. I was back at work the same day, though walking a bit gingerly. Your balls will swell up for a day or so but after 2 days, everything is fine.

Talk to her/her doctor about an IUD, the hormones are way less because with the pill they give women way extra in case they dont take it at the same time everyday (they never do). IUDs can dose way less hormones because theyre automatic.

Best thing I ever decided to do. If you’re interested in dating young women you can keep the fact that you’re shooting blanks to yourself. If they ever come back to you with “I’m pregnant...” you know they’re fucking someone else or at a minimum trying to land the premament sugar daddy. Inversely, letting older women know that you’ve made the choice shows them that you’re not trying to get them pregnant and took mature steps to commit to that decision. Either way as long as you’ve got a clean std report you’ll be creampieing your way around town.

Recovery is a few days, maybe a week - if it takes longer, something else is wrong. I don't remember having pain during those few days, just swelling & soreness. The more you get up and (gently) walk around the quicker that goes away, just like with muscle soreness. We all think it's going to be awful and it's nowhere close to what we think going in.

thanks for the replies guys, its much appreciated. Im guessing the horror stories are few and far between as everyone who posted had no issues. For the record the wife did try the IUD for a while, made her bleed randomly and didnt agree with her. And for getting tubes tied, tried that angle already. I got the I carried 2 kids and been putting shit in my body for 15yrs so now its your turn. I wont admit it, but she does have a point on that one. Wife makes good coin too so its not like I completely run the show and shes got no say in anything. I would love to have an old school dictator marriage, but that's not the case here.

Another question.....I see docs who advertise that they are "specialists" and all sorts of variations of gimmicks. Did you guys just randomly go to a doc, did you use a doc you already saw, or did you research it?

I think some guys get caught up in the machismo part of it. Eff all that - your reasons are your own. Mine were, I don't want any more kids. Period, stop.

If you have a primary doc, they're gonna send you to a urologist. If u don't have a primary, just go find a urologist on your insurance. I don't know what gimmicks you're talking about, but this is a routine procedure that's been done for literally 100 years - you don't need gimmicks or vasectomy 'specialists'. I can't even find the tiny scars on my sack.

I'm telling you, everyone worries about all this going in. Don't worry about it. It's a simple thing.

did it about 10 years ago after having 2 kids. My wife initiated it but I welcome this little change - I used to worry when I was dating someone else, not anymore. The whole procedure took about 30 min and it did not hurt much. you still can get someone pregnant for the next 6 months. most insurances will cover it rather than pay for abortions.

what I do remember that i thought was funny was a mandatory waiting period. I went in for an appointment where I thought it was going to get done, but the doc gave me a check up and explained the the procedure, and then there is a mandatory 30-day waiting period after that in case you change your mind!

Strongly recommended. I scheduled mine for a Friday afternoon and was back at work Monday morning with no issue. No issues or side effects.

One thing to bear in mind is that the modern vasectomy surgery technique is less invasive, with faster recovery time and lower probability of negative effects. So you have even less reason to worry than the historical data would suggest.

I didn't want any more kids and wife was against it initially. but she thanked me later for not having to worry about more pregnancies. my procedure wasn't very long, one side was more sore than the other, I think dr didn't wait enough time for that side's anesthesia to kick in.
