I have no idea if that is a good idea (Twitter) but it is becoming a very good source of info. Some people seem to be smarter about it and not say specific things, but others do not. I suspect that time will tell how smart or dumb it is.

I’ll use it to cross reference when im looking up a new provider not so much for AMPing but yeah gotta stay smart and never exchange detail info on DMs, take it somewhere else

and yet, it has a fatality rate of under 2.1% and actually it is much lower as you said yourself the true number of infections are higher than reported infections. Now, as long as you are not an octogenarian or fucking an octogenarian you will live and of all the things you could catch doing this shit, corona is about as benign as you can fucking get.

My point is we all go on even though there is fucking AIDS and herpes and other truly terrible shit but draw the line as this shit. Like if you are going to draw the line at corona I don't see how you are going to go when AIDS and herpes still exist. You are being very intellectually dishonest to yourself.

It is like whatever you did to talk yourself into doing something where you can get AIDS or herpes, well do that same thing for this COMPARATIVELY slap on the wrist by the head nun with her splintered ruler.
I’ll put this out there one time and will never respond. YOU'RE ABSOLUTELY WRONG. I initially thought that too. I did the first patient in my home town 2 months ago. Then I came up here to run a COVID ICU, at a large teaching hospital. I’m 65. Out of my last 11 patients, 10 were younger than me. No one has a handle on it or can guarantee the factors that ensure survival. Everyone is at risk to varying degrees, just like this environment. Life is not safe, and unfortunately, most of the things we shouldn’t do are the most fun.

And unlike HIV or herpes, with COVID you put others (family, coworkers etc) at risk even if you are fine. It's true that many people with COVID turn out fine, but many do not - even if they survive. That includes children and healthy young adults. Read up! Do not limit yourself to TV headlines - especially of a single point of view. There are many well researched reports in the US and abroad.
