Where/how to get a Burner phone?

A true burner phone is relatively hard to come by, you have to get creative. There's usually some part of the equation for obtaining or activating one that's potentially linked to your real identity.

Any suggestions or links something inexpensive?
Walmart or Target. Pay in cash, like $40 for a decent flip. Pick up ATT card, pay in cash. You can refill with a ATT card pin. I get them at CVS, again cash. If you deal in all cash your invisible. Some dolts buy them with their CC, which creates a trail. Texting can be a challenge on the low end flip phone. Recently a shop I frequent asked for my last four digits to verify the appointment and link the HF, I'm on a burner so didn't matter. They do track caller ID. A provider showed me a caller ID of a monger I know and he was using his business cell which I have in my contacts. Not too bright.

Really guys who the eff really cares with the exception of a Wife .. I personally know of at least 3 busts where the phones were all confiscated and no one was ever bothered or contacted by LE.. sometimes I think this whole “James Bond” thing with the phones is nonsensical…the technology is there to find you if someone really wants to track you down ..if you’re that important ..and a “burner” is just another piece of physical evidence that your Wife will eventually find and use against you in Divorce proceedings…
.. get a decent App that is private and don’t get caught texting your ATFs at 3:00 am and you’ll be ok…
… just MHO..
.. Happy New Year Guys..

burners are a smart idea, I have a pre paid one with zero trace, if you use your regular phone they can google your # and find out a whole bunch about you, I just googled my # and just wow a whole lot of info... be smart guys. If you are a business guy or anyone who cares think twice... just saying

i agree with you. i used to use tracephone and their card, all cash transcation from walmart before the apps era. i still have those old phones and texting was a challenge. a few providers do ask last 4 digits of your phone number.

I use Talkatone. Like Superman said...download, use then delete. Takes 2 minutes to download and be ready to use. I also use it for calls for quotes from businesses that I don't want to be hounded by afterwards. It's free and they give you a one time "burn" of the number

Been using tracfone for 6 years now. All cash from text cards to subscription cards. Used an old iPhone 6 that was fully reset and a new sim card. Bought an iTunes gift card with cash and made a free anonymous apple id. Works great. Have had the same number all these years which can be an asset as the ladies will remember your number. I see a lot of GFE indy providers, some going on 8 years now.

I've been using Talkatone for years now. One problem I see recently - if the provider is using Talkatone as well then the calls or texts do not go through! Not sure if it issue with me only!

It depends. If you're not doing high level criminal shit you'll be fine with a free app. No one is going to arrest you for going to your favorite place. Johns tend to get off easy. They can't really prove what you did. If you're scared about getting caught then don't do it. You know the risk. If you're just worried about the wife finding out you can just delete the app before you leave out of the parking lot after you finish. Download it after you leave the house.

Best thing to do is you go to someplace like McDonalds that offers free wi-fi, bring your lap top in and sign up. Probably not entirely necessary but if you want to keep your trail clean dont sign up using your own wifi and only pay cash for phone and cards.

Even that can be traced based on the MAC ID of your computer connected to McDonald's WiFi :) ...also, most often the adult sites would be blocked on these free public WiFi terminals.
Add a true VPN in the mix if you want to go that route.

Walmart or other big box store and cash. Always cash to reup. Never traceable. Only do month at a time. Leave it hidden in car. Clear numbers so if S.O. Finds the phone your out a few bucks plus found after car wash. Only number stored on mine says “trabajar” and is car wash number. Cleaner must have dropped it. I was going to return it or throw it out I don’t care attitude keeps her calm too.

I meant just for registering your phone, most of the places with free wifi have about a milion sites blocked. i had a trac phone for years until about a year ago they wouldnt support 3G any longer. Now I just use apps. When i registered the phone you needed to create an account and all that so i brought my laptop to McDonalds to do it but again it was overkill to go to that trouble.
