What is it with the mattress on the floor thing?

I just got back from seeing one of the most basic and boring providers in the area and I stumble on another mattress on the floor scenario. Is this a common thing? I felt dirty laying on that thing and couldn't wait to get home so I shower.

Just cheap spots, you can’t expect much if you’re just dropping $100 for a load. Tho, the sleaziness of things like that does kinda get me excited. If only the service in such spots were any good.
